ps I assure you that all teams INCLUDING the Mets have had their of users of PED's.
I'm not comparing Boy Wonder to Minaya. Minaya is just that. Manure. The point I was making you were quick to criticize Manure yet mum on the Red Sox continuing PED saga.

Your MO is if any other teams had their two biggest stars test positive for PED you'd be one of the vocal leaders criticizing the team from top to bottom. But since it's happened to your beloved Red Sox you've been silent on the issue.

Did Theo draw the line by overpaying for Dice-K? He over payed mostly because he didn't want the Yanks signing Dice-K. So why didn't they pay more for a proven and young star?

Or how about these two security guys that were fired for buying, using and selling steroids? One of them is Remy's son and when asked about it, he said the Red Sox organization never asked him one question when he was fired that all of the questions he answered were with MLB. How nuts is that? Talk about not wanting to know what goes on in your own house!!!

        • WOW...if true, what's more amazing- the fact the Red Sox were willing to give up Bard, Buchholz, Masterson PLUS 2 more prospects...or the fact that Seattle said 'no'...!?!?!??!?!

If I was the Seattle GM, I would've taken these 5, for Hernandez. That could've changed their whole franchise.

            RHP Clay Buchholz
            RHP Daniel Bard
            RHP Justin Masterson
            LHP Nick Hagadone
            RHP Michael Bowden

That's the five I would have taken. I can't believe they turned it down. With Buchholz, Masterson and Bowden you have 3 guys that could fill in #3 - 5 in the rotation and hope one of them drives through their ceiling and gets to a #2. Bard is the closer and Hagadone would still be in the mix for a starting spot....

Sure he has blundered at times, but I will take any GM who can win two WS in five years and be in the playoffs in the other years other than 2006.
You can take the Cashman's, Oh My Manure's of the world and most others and stuff them where the sun doesn't shine.
Theo has proven his mettle;he sure as hell made a believer out of me by proving me wrong when he got rid of Nomar, replaced him with Cabrera, let Pedro, Lowell, Damon and others walk-if tha doesn't satisfy a Sox fan, then what the hell does???
I sure as heck hope(and actually have quite a bit of confidence) that he will continue to do a very fine job as the GM of the Sox.

Who made Minaya and Cashman the poster boy's for GM's? Not sure why you continually use them as references. They blow.

And you continue to miss my point and the basis for my whole discussion with you...when/if you figure it out as I have made the point a number of times, let me know.

The Sox won a WS with him, and he played a part.
I am not ready to give up on him just yet.

My remarks at Manure/Minaya had nothing to do with PED's-I am simoly saying that I consider him incompetent.
Why not wait until/if the entire list is released before you criticize any GM.

The only two I am convinced are anything at this point is Masterson and Bard-I wouldn't want the Sox to part with him.

When YOU figure out what I said and VERIFIED about Teixeira, YOU come back-you simply bet the question, generalzie and rationalize all of my points away.

I guess Boy Wonder should have traded Buchholz while the price for him was high huh? Fucknut thought that he was Cy Young and wouldn't give him up for anything and he sucks.

Only time will tell-the only sure thing and judging by the results for the last few years, is that he is a better judge of talent than you, I or probably anyone else who reads this forum.
I am not sure Buchholz will ever be a good pitcher but then again, I didn't think he should have replaced Nomar with Cabrera or let Pedro walk for example.
Theo and the organization for the most part know what they are doing and don't need to be second guessed too much at this point.
ps How many thought Francona would be a good manager based on his past performance with Philadelphia.
                            I didn't. Did you-be honest?

A manager is only as good as his players savage. None of us were born yesterday. Joe torre is another one you could use. What's your point or are you just rambling again?

Joe Torre is a Hall of Fame manager on the first ballot. I would bet anything on that if there was a line-enuf said.
Managing is not important, and you got to have the players to win a WS(especially thos who are highly paid)?
Just try to tell that tothe DBacks and Marlins of a few years ago.
Try running a Mercedes with diesel fuel and so how it runs.
