  • If i was Thompson, i would leave it as an open competition and then i would go get Rodgers to sign an extension at starters pay, starting next year.

I did see that. Did you read the article on ESPN.com where Favre acknowledges that is what he was told, but he believes Rodgers should be the starter and that it would be best for the team if he were to go elsewhere? Here are the Brett Favre quotes in case you can't find it:

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre went into a meeting Tuesday morning acknowledging that he was at a "stalemate" with the team and believed the "best thing for this team is for us to part ways."

"We're at a stalemate," Favre said. "Mike and I both agreed last night that me being out there is a distraction and will continue to be a distraction. (I call this both blinking!)We all know the reason I'm here is because the commissioner [Roger Goodell] reinstated me so we have a lot of things to figure out. It's simple and complicated, both at the same time."

"Mike told me, hey, we're a better team with you on it but wanted to know if I have a problem with an open competition," Favre said. "I don't have a problem with competing -- you know that, but Aaron should be the starter right now because he's been out here all this time. This is more than about an open competition and I can do that, absolutely, but this is going to be mass confusion and that's not good for this team.

Really Phil, are they that fucken SCARED of Brett Favre? If they are and they think he is that good, the obvious answer is to start him and move on. If he isn't trade him wherever he wants to go and watch the plane fly away. God damn, i've NEVER seen a GM Waffle so much in my life over a decision.

HOW DO YOU KNOW EXACTLY THAT HE WOULDNT ?

HAVE U BROKEN DOWN 1000 HOURS OF FILM ON HIM -- HAVE U WATCHED HIM PRACTICE EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS ?

ALL I REMEMBER OF FAVRE IS HIM COSTING HIS TEAM WINS IN THE PLAYOFFS BY THROWING BACKBREAKING / GAME CHANGING INTERCEPTIONS

3J, Favre got what he wanted. He showed up to camp and the Packers BLINKED in the meeting when they acknowledged not wanting him there. We ALL knew that was going to happen. Brett did what he had to do and now the Packers will do the same, whatever that may be.

              • I Want To Hear Ted Thompson And Mc Carthy To Go On Record And Say "aaron Rodgers Gives Us The Best Chance Of Making IT To The Superbowl So Were Going With Him".

Once Their On Record Saying That Then You Have Them On Record Saying Why They Want Rogers Starting.

Dont Feed The Fans A Bunch Of Bullshit. Favre Is Better Than Rogers They Know It And The Fans Know It. All Of The Other He Said She Said Stuff Is B.s

I know Favre had his BEST Completion % of his career last year, i know Favre had his highest yardage passing in 10 years last season, i know Favre was a Pro Bowl QB, i know Favre led them to the NFC Title game and i know Favre finished 2nd in the MVP voting. Yup, he did nothing to let me know what he is.

Now, show me Rodgers NFL Resime please?

                      That's how i know Dino!

Cmon Gg I Have A Lot Of Respect For You But Favre Is One The 5 Best To Ever Play The Position.

Rogers Was A System Qb At California. Have I Broken Down The Film And Practices Over The Last 3 Years ?no I Havent But Common Sense And Knowledge Of The Game Tells Me

Favre Right Now Is Better Than Rogers.....point Blank

Maybe Im Wrong, Maybe The Pack Front Office Knows Something That I Dont I Guess Theyre More Qualified.
