If Ron Wolf and Mike Holmgren were still in Green Bay, Brett Favre would be the Starter in '08. That's why they went to 2 Super Bowl's and Won 1 and the Thompson/McCarthy combo will never sniff one again. Don't be fooled by Brett Favre's ego either guys. Ted Thompson's ego is just as big, if not bigger. His prized child and draft pick was Aaron Rodgers and Favre was already there when he got there. He is all about proving his worth with that Rodgers pick and we all know that today, Brett Favre has a better chance of leading them to a Bowl than Rodgers does. Please don't give me that crap about "We don't know that" or that crap about Thompson doing this for the "Better of the team". That is a load of horseshit and you all know it.

Thats just your opinion opinion and I think its wrong

Woulda! Coulda! Shoulda! It's pure speculation on your part.
Holmgren is an overrated coach. He gained his notoriety on the coattails of Favre in the 90s. He's basically done shit in Seattle. OK, he went to one SB. The Seattle record is padded because they play in a god-awful division.

Until McCarthy/Thompson reach a Bowl, it is a fact Brother!
They will go backwards from here.
You don't take someone who led you to O.T. in the NFC Title game at home, was 2nd in the MVP voting, never missed a game and had 1 losing season in his career and say no thanks to him. Retired or not, you take him with open arms and hope to get back to that same game this season and win it.
Ted Thompson's ego is just as strong as Favre's and he is more interested in seeing what his prized child has to "Offer" over another great shot at the big one.

You throw out these opinions and assumptions as if they're gospel.
Why is this situation any different than the Red Sox and Manny? They're very similar. You created a thread to get rid of Manny ASAP.
Red Sox no longer wanted Manny. Manny no longer wanted to play for the Sox. They traded him to a team of THEIR choice.
GB no longer wanted Brett. Brett no longer wanted to play in GB. Brett was being stubborn. He thought he was above the game and the team. He wanted to go to a team of HIS choice.
He has taken note. Brett's done shit in 10 years. He's won 2 playoff games. Who should shoulder most of the blame losing to NY Giants? Last I checked it was Brett throwing that horrible pass from deep in his own zone.
In the 2nd half of his career Brett Favre is OVERRATED

Frank, Frank, Frank. Manny had to approve ANY trade and he "Approved" a trade to L.A.
Frank, Frank, Frank. Manny was faking injuries and physically hurting people around him. He was also fined for sitting and refusing to play games this year. There is absolutely, no comparison between the 2. Favre has never done any of that shit to warrant what Manny got.
