I think as long as you get Bucholtz, Hughes or one top of the line young starting pitchers, it's not a terrible trade from a business standpoint, if you consider how much money the team that signs Johan is going to have to pay

I agree with Lovedoc, that would make it fair. Otherwise as much as I hate the Yankees, i would rather see him go there. With Johan, Yankees are much closer to winning the AL East. Johan with the Yankees bats supporting him would be huge!

ESPN's Buster Olney says the Red Sox came up with new ideas in their trade proposal for Johan Santana following their latest round of talks with the Twins on Saturday afternoon.
Olney thinks the Twins would accept a Boston offer that included Clay Buchholz or Jacoby Ellsbury, though the Yankees remain the favorites for now with their offer of Phil Hughes, Melky Cabrera and a third player. He adds that although the Twins have been talking with the Mariners and Dodgers, it's still expected to come down to the Red Sox and Yankees.


If he adds ellsbury, Sox Trump Yankees offer... Twins accept deal and will have johan by monday!!!!
