*FYI: ...COMP PLAY 4 "BIG MONDAY"

-Ok Gang...I am coming off of recording my 7th Straight Winning Week in MLB so far on the year..missed winning my 7th straight Weekend due to a rare "BGP" lost....But, just like before, when I win big..I also like to spread and share the wealth big...so here's one of them for you all to Enjoy!

**TOP RATED PLAY OF THE DAY ON:

    CWS -130

-Two of the top teams in the AL face off tonight...but I see the CWS coming out of this one in style again like they have been doing all year to the best of them...Currently, the CWS has won 4 of their last 5 games...And it has been with offense and defense this time around...In this span, they have outscored their opponents 22 to 10....Solid!

The Angels, on the other hand, is coming into this one winning 3 of their last 5 games...however, they haven't been as dominant as they scored 21 runs but have also given up 21 runs, in this span as well.

The CWS has a Road record of 16-7 and are still averaging 5 rpg, while currently hitting .255 at the plate....Their defense on the Road, led by their studs on the hill, have only been giving up an average of 3.5 rpg and allowing .232 hitting at the plate...The Angels, meanwhile are just 10-9 at Home this year, where they have been only averaging 3.6 rpg and .234 hitting at the plate, as well as just .280 OBP average...This is not good at all, especially when your defense is allowing opponents to average 4.2 rpg in your House.

One of the Key Advantages I like in this matchup tonight is on the mound...Tonight the CWS send their 8-0 Hot starter in John Garland to the hill to become the first 9-0 winner on the year...And although Garland and the WSox's have not been having as much success vs these Angels in the past...you can't deny that they will have a definate edge here for two reasons...One being that they are coming in on a roll and playing solid balance ball....And second, because today they are going up against the Angel's Rookie RHP Santana, who will be making only his 2nd start of his career, and doing it off of a Bitch slapping by one of the leagues coldest sticks, at the time, in the Indian's...In his first start vs Clev, this Rookie was tagged for 6 ERs, 8 hits, gave up 2 HRs, 3 walks, 1 strike out, and only lasted 4 innings...leading to a 13-5 embarrassing home loss for the Angels.

Now today he will have to step up against this Hot WSox team, a team who is riding high in the league this year...A team who is not only doing it with clutch and timely hitting, but also doing on base as well...Yup, this is not going to be any cake walk at all for this Rookie...and if he thought Clev was hard to beat, well he is in for another treat..because unlike the Indian's....today he will have to not only contend with whose at the plate but also with whose on base also...The CWS are the best at stealing bases this year...and they do their best work against RHP's, where they have stolen 37 of their league leading 50 SB's this year....Oh Boy, you talk about having to deal with multiple threats for this Rookie to have to deal with...Not Good!

Besides the threat by the WSox's base runners moving into scoring position, I am sure Santana also knows that the CWS has found the most success as well in winning against RHPs..with their current 27-8 record vs them so far....And, I am very sure that he knows who his opponent on the mound is in Garland...who can go deep into a game, with his 7.5 innings average overall in his 8 starts this year...Oh and also that he has a 8-0 record to go along with his low 2.41 ERA and his very low .955 WHIP...Plus Garland has won 10 straight starts dating to last season...and allowed just 2 runs and 5 hits over 7 innings in a 5-2 win over Texas last Tuesday...So this rookie is not in the best of situations at all, and it again is not only because he must recover from his last Bitch slapping...but because he must also do it against one of the leagues best pitchers and best team as well...Oh yeah, I forgot this one...he must also do it in front of the Angel's faithful, who is still wondering how they made this guy their top overall pick on the year....Simply not a good time to have the same name as the other Stud named Santana, as fans are expecting the same results!

The Angels are currently ranked 4th to last in the league in hitting with a .246 average....5th to last with just 35 total HRs, as compared to the CWS ranking 5th in the league with 50 Bombs so far...The CWS also rank 8th in the league in RBI's, while the Angels are ranked 4th to last in the league in this category...A very important stat due to both teams liking to play alot of small ball...which wont work if your hitters at the plate cant take advantage of whats done on base...Furthermore, the Angels also rank last in the league in OBP with their .298 average and are 2nd to last in SLG % as well...Not looking to good in way of support for their Rookie, especially as the Angels also lost their best hitter and reigning AL MVP Vladimir Guerroro, who was placed on the disabled list by the Angels on Saturday with a partial dislocation of his left shoulder....Big lost as Guerrero batted .306 with 10 RBIs in nine games against Chicago in 2004...not to forget also these other Angels hitters in Finley, Iztirus, and of course their DH in Salmon, who all also will be missing out on this big game.

*SOME PAST STATS & TRENDS: Favoring the the CWS tonight.

-CWS is 16-7 on the Road.
-CWS is 4-1 as a Road Fav of -125 to -150.
-CWS is 17-8 in Night games.
    -CWS is 27-8 vs RHPs.
-CWS is 12-3 vs teams with winning records.
-CWS is 7-1 in away GM 1 of series.
-CWS is 18-4 vs the AL Central opponents.

-Angels is 4-3 when playing against teams with a winning record.
-Angels is just 10-9 at Home.
    -Angels is 18-12 vs RHPs.

Bottom line is the same as I mentioned before...These are the new WSox's who are not doing it like the old WSox use to do it...Their new style of ball is working wonders so far, why buck it...Pitching, Defense, aggressive base running, small ball, and playing with a chip on their shoulder due to lack of respect, is what makes them go...And tonight, they will continue to roll fueled by their best starter...who knows this is the one team who could derail his chances of getting win number 9...Garland wants this one bad and so do the WSox's as the Angels have been a thorn in their sides lately...And with Vlad out and a Rookie on the hill, they must be licking their chops at what they see...I love the CWS to get this one done in fashion tonight.... Go White Sox's!

*FYI: ...COMP PLAY 4 "SUPER TUESDAY"

-Ok, coming off a 2-1 day in the Bases and a 1-0 day in the NBA....lets bounce back with this Comp Play off my Card tonight.

        **TOP RATED PLAY ON:

        Atlanta -151

-The Old vs the New...or rather, the Old Brave in Glavine vs the New Brave in Hudson....I like the New Brave Hudson, over the aging 2 time CY Young Winner, eventhough he is coming into this one on just 3 days rest...And, I still like Hudson eventhough he is coming off his second loss in 3 starts...and his ERA in his last 5 starts has ballooned to 5.90.

One thing working in Hudson's favor is the fact that this will be the first time he will face the Mets in his career...which usually gives the pitcher the edge over hitters...ie, remember the Angels Rookie last night shutdown the best team in the WSox....Hudson, has the ability to do that to the Mets today, imo....However, this one has more to do with the Braves dominance over Glavine, then it has to do with Hudson....But, Hudson is a solid pitcher and that also is a solid plus to have despite his showing of late.

Glavine, on the other hand, is just 1-7 in his last 8 games vs his old team, with a whopping ERA of 9.34...In his last game vs them back on April 27..he was tagged for 7 ERs on 12 hits, inwhich 2 were HRs....and he lasted only 4 1/3 innings, in that 8-4 loss....How badly and why is Glavine struggling against his former team....Well first off, the Braves are responsible for giving Glavine his worst ERA of any team he has faced...and from this quote by Atlanta's Andruw Jones on why they are so successful against Glavine said, ``We just know what he's going to do every time we face him.''....I for one believe him and these other past stats proves it even more.

In Glavine's last game vs the Braves, his ERA was14.54, his WHIP 3.46, and the Braves hitters averaged .545 against him.....In Glavine's 8 career games vs Atlanta, his ERA is again 9.34, his WHIP is 2.08, and the Braves are hitting .378 against him...More specifically, in all these games he has totaled 41.1 innings on the hill, gave up 65 hits, 43 ERs, 14 HRs, 21 walks, and recorded just 13 strike outs....Not Good Tom!

Making it harder for Glavine to get a win today, is the fact that he also struggles on the Road this year as well....In fact, in his last two road starts, he is 0-1, with a ERA of 8.38, WHIP of 2.59, and allow oppossing hitters to average .435 against him...More specifically, in these two road starts he lasted only 9.2 innings, gave up 20 hits, 9 ERs, 5 walks, and record 5 K's....Oh Boy!

Still, more bad news for Glavine and the Mets...is that not only is Glavine shitty on the Road, but so are the Mets as they are just 7-13 away from the Big Apple, while the Braves at Home are a solid 14-5 on the year, which is 2nd best Home record in the Majors....The Braves also are 6-3 this year vs Lefties and 14-9 vs division opponents...Plus, vs LHPs they are averaging 5.7 rpg and hitting .278 vs them...In addition, the Braves are averaging an even higher average of 6.1 rpg and .285 average overall at the plate in all Home games this year....Oh, and the Braves vs LHPs are averaging a solid 5.3 in RBIs and have already lauched 13 Bombs against the 9 LHPs they faced this year..

The Mets will face a Righty in Hudson...and vs RHP's this year they are averaging just 4.2 rpg and hitting .250 vs them....Plus, they are only averaging alittle over 8 hits and just 3.8 RBI's vs them....Tonight, I expect with Hudson's solid pitching and the Braves solid defense, where they only are allowing opponents in their House to average just 3.5 rpg and hit .242 overall, to work together perfectly keeping the Mets in check, unlike last nights game was.

*MORE STATS, TRENDS, AND INFO: I like favoring the Braves tonight.

-Atlanta is 17-6 at Home vs the Mets.

-Atlanta is 3-1 this year vs the Mets at Home..

-Atlanta is 5-2 overall this year vs the Mets.

-The Mets will be without one of their main weapons in Beltran, who will be out again due to an inj....This is a Big Loss, as Beltran is currently 2nd in hitting, 3rd in HRs, and 3rd in RBIs...Plus, he is 2nd in batting average with .287 vs RHPs this year...and he has been a .329 batting average in Road games this year..

-VS RHPs....the Mets: Reyes is hitting just .246...Piazza is hitting just .216....Mientkiewicz is hitting just .190......and Kazuo Matsui is hitting just .214.

-Mets have lost 3 of their last 4 games.

-Braves are 11-4 in GM 2 of series.

-Lastly, after looking deeper in Glavine's win against the Cards on Friday....you will see that he was lucky to have come out of that one with a win...as he was bailed out by his defense in the 5th, when a 1-2-3 double-play saved a run, and again in the 6th, when Cliff Floyd threw out D'Angelo Jimenez at the plate....The Braves simply now Glavine to well..and they know that he doesn't have enough heat to overpower them at the plate...thus he needs to work around this by pitching around the corners in hopes of being effective....The Braves and Bobby Cox has the manual on Glavine and its hard to beat a team or person who knows exactly what you can and cant do...and based on Glavines 1-7 record vs his former team, I say that the book on him is very accurrate....Take the Braves!

-Ok Gang....lets get em back with this Bad Boy today!...If you want want to get the Rest of My Best I got up and running, just contact me and lets Rock-N-Roll....Until then, GL and LETS GO GET EM!...ALOHA CC.

            {NBA PLAY}

            *REGULAR PLAY ON:

            Spurs +4.5

-Ok Gang...I am on the Spurs + the points and also alittle on the ML as well...Gotta go with the team who plays Solid Defense over the other who relies on flashy Offense....Defense wins games most times..and this doesnt only apply in Football....Just look at the two teams who won the first two opening games so far...remember what they are known for?...That's right D-E-F-E-N-S-E!...

Just alittle heads up for you,...dont buy in to everything those clowns on TV are only saying...ie, "THE SUN'S ARE IN A MUST WIN SITUATION"....Maybe so, but that doesnt always mean that the team in this situation will come out on top....Remember, this is the Playoffs and the other team is looking at this game also as a must win situation as well...Coach's and players all know that one win is not the end, so dont expect them to play like it...Expect instead for them to come out even more determined to go up 2 games to none...and thus trying to take advantage of what they have accomplished with winning the first game on the Road...It is just plain stupid to expect the Spurs not to play even harder inorder to get that second win....Just like it is not smart to think that the Sun's will win this game simply because those commentators keep saying, "they are in a must-win situations"......Remember, this is for the Championship of the World...so every game is a "Must Win" situation.

Anyways, if your with me on the Spurs...then LETS GET BRING THIS ONE HOME....If your on the Sun's, good luck to you and may the better team win tonight......Aloha CC.

Adding: COMP PLAY FOR LATE NIGHT TUESDAY!

              {MLB PLAYS}

              *REGULAR PLAY ON:

              SF -119

-Giants Schmidt coming off of DL, but he is returning back from time off to rest up a shoulder problem that was causing him discomfort...and not necessarily coming back from a full on injury....He has been out since May 8, but does say he feels alot better than he did before, as his arm felt dead....Sometimes pitchers go through this where their arms just lose the function and control which gives them superior control...It seems that the Dodgers starter Weaver is suffering from this "dead arm" problem of late as he has not been at his best over his last 2 starts, where he has gone 0-1, allowing 16 hits, 10 ER's, in just 13 1/3 innings on the hill...In his last game vs Florida, he gave up 10 hits, 6 ERs, and 3 Bombs, in just 5 2/3 innings...I see a possible trend happening here...Anyways, Weaver in his career is just 3-3 with an ERA of 5.25 vs the Giants in his career....Dodgers had SF's number of late..but I gotta go with the Home team here as their in a good position to bounce back tonight....

BTW...I hope you all Enjoyed that TOP RATED PLAY-w/ its indepth Write-Up I gave out on Atlanta today...That was a $weet Winner!....Check back tomorrow for yet another Comp Play directly off of my Plays Card I release, and fully back-up with Solid Handicapping methods, info, insights, etc.. like No One else here does...Anyone can post a play, but how do you know it or the person who posted it is even worth risking your money on, if they dont at least show you how and why they are playing a particular game???.....GL and Aloha CC.

FYI: This was my "BGP" and the indepth Write-Up and Big Game Analysis, I released with it today, Thursday..

"BIG GAME PLAY"-GAME OF THE WEEK on:

                              Baltimore O's -129 (EZ 5-2 WINNER!)

-Inconsistancy by a Pitcher and/or Team is what leads to poor showing, bad losses, possible wins turning into losses, and long losing streaks to occur and continue to occur...Looking at this game, it is clear to see that between the two, Seattle is the team who is suffering with this Inconsistancy Bug....not only at the plate, but also on the hill as well....Baltimore, on the other hand, has been able to overcome this inconsistancy they have on the hill by doing alot of damage at the plate...This is where the majority of the Key Advantages to this game lay...but the O's starter Cabrera, who currently has the largest ERA of all the O's starters also has some Key Advantages in his arsenal and I feel it will show up in a solid way, just like last nights starter Lopez was able to do...Check out below for the list of these Key Advantages that the Baltimore Orioles have that should lead them to Sweeping this Mariners squad, who now seem to suffer Inconsistancy on the Road..

                              KEY ADVANTAGE # 1: Balt's Cabrera vs Seattle's Franklin.

-Seattles Franklin is coming into this game off a loss to the Padre's, a game where he outpitched SD's Peavy up until he got smacked in the 6th giving up 6 runs...Franklin, in this game was only allowing 3 hits at the time...but his inability to continue his inconsistancy did him in again as he walked 5 Padre's in the 6th which led to another lost for the 5th time in 6 decisions....And of course the M's struggling offense isnt helping matters for him at all.... Control problems resulted in Ryan Franklin allowing five runs in 6 1/3 innings tonight in a loss to the Padres. Franklin surrendered just three hits, but he walked five and hit a batter. He also gave up a home run for the seventh straight start.

A victim of poor run support for two years running, Franklin was hit much harder in '04 than he was the previous campaign, as he had more trouble keeping the ball down in the strike zone and coughed up 33 home runs. He was a disaster on the road, going 1-10 with a 5.62 ERA, and he didn't win a game in July and August and had an 11-game losing streak. To put it bluntly, Franklin was a bad pitcher on a bad team.

Franklin has a diverse arsenal-fastball, curveball, slider, changeup and split-finger-though none are considered plus pitches...And as a pitcher with average velocity, he got in big trouble in 2004 when he tried to challenge too many hitters with fastballs....Seems the same thing is happening again to him this year as well...In the past two years, he has shown good command, as he only walked 61 batters despite pitching over 200 innings...However, this year he has already topped over 1/3 of this total with his 23 walks already given up on the season....Furthermore, in 2003 he had found alot of success vs RHBs, but last year he has been hit hard and the same is happening this year as well....In the M's last two games of this series with the O's, it was clutch and timely hitting that allowed the O's to take the lead and go on to win off of two clutch HRs....Tonight, the O's face Franklin who is ranked near the top of the AL in most HRs given up on the year.....Bombs Away!

As for the Orioles young Righty Daniel Cabrera, he is coming into this one off a pounding by the Phillies, where he gave up 7 runs in just 3 2/3 innings, suffering his 3rd loss of the season....Cabrera does has some outstanding stuff, but again like Franklin he has been inconsistant at times...Still, Cabrera does have two very good base pitches which gives him a solid foundation, one being his fastball which clocks in the mid-90's..and at 97 MPH at times....and his big curveball, which already is an above-average offering that breaks sharply....These two, along with his 89 MPH slider and average changeup should be enough to get past this struggling bunch of M's tonight....

The Orioles needed a power pitcher and Cabrera is it...and although he is still approx another season away from becoming a real force on the mound, he has already been successful against some of the top lineups in the league....ie, previous to his loss to Philly....he shut down a Hot Minny team, ending their 4 game winning streak, inwhich they had scored 33 runs and averaged double figures in hits in 6 straight games...In this game he led Balt to a 3-0 win, and held the Twins to just 3 total hits, struckout a career high 11, and walked just 2 in 8 innings on the hill....

Cabrera is a Power Pitcher while Seattle is not a Power hitting team of the past....Cabrera should be able to over-power them at the plate...which he has found alot of success this year, ranking 9th in the AL in strike outs with 45....Plus, he is also ranked near the top of the league with the fewest HRs given up with only 4 Bombs allowed on the year...Perfect, because Seattle is ranked 2nd to last in the league with the fewest HRs as well..

Franklin, on the other hand, is ranked 3rd in the AL with the most HRs given up so this year, as he has given up a total of 9 so far....

Franklin vs Baltimore is 0-3 with a ERA of 5.17 in 4 career starts vs them....In these games he allowed 37 hits, 18 ERs, 7 Walks, and 15 K's...In his last game against the O's on May 19, 2004, he lost 5-2...and allowed 4 ERS in 6 1/3 innings on the hill....Also bad news for Franklin is that he is only getting an average of 3.2 - Runs per game by the Mariners offense when he has started....More specifically, Franklin has only won 1 game in his last 7 starts, and Seattle has only posted 13 runs in those 7 starts...however, 6 of those runs came during his victory against Boston on May 8th....Just gets worse and worst doesnt it.

Cabrera vs Seattle has a record of 1-0 and a ERA of 3.65 in his 2 career starts vs them....In these games, he allowed 13 hits, 5 ERs, 5 walks, and struck out 5....But, unlike Franklin....Cabrera has had the benefit of solid Run Support from his Offense, as they have been providing him with an average of 5.5 + runs in his starts this year..

Bottom line here, is that you really never know what you're getting with Franklin or Cabrera...but the O's just go on to rely on their strength which is their potent lineup to outscore opponents, provide the run support to their starters, so they can do what they need to get Wins period....Seattle is just not as fortunate or has this ability to back up their starters...so this leave their pitchers no choice really but to be on their A game every game, until that offense of theirs shows up on a consistant basis....Only problem for them is that they are talented enough to carry this load all the time and or even most of the time...And that is why they are losing and will only continue to lose more this year, especially to teams like Balt who possess alot more balance to their game..

KEY ADVANTAGE # 2: Baltimore's Offense Support compared to Seattle's Lack of Offensive Support at the Plate..

The Baltimore's offense has done the club well as it is averaging 10.26 hits and nearly 6 runs per game...Here is some of the Orioles stats at the plate compared to the M's.

-Balt is ranked 1st in league in hitting with a .290 team batting average............Seattle ranked 5th to last with their .250 average.

-Balt is ranked 3rd in Run production..............Seattle ranks 5th to last in Run production.

-Balt is ranked 1st in Hits.................Seattle is 5th to last in Hits.

-Balt is ranked 2nd in HRs with 64 on the year.............Seattle is 2nd to last in the league with the fewest HRs with only 32.

-Balt is ranked 2nd in RBIs.............Seattle is ranked 7th to last in this category.

-Balt is ranked 5th in Stolen Bases with 35 on the year.............Seattle is ranked 6th with 32.

-Balt is ranked 3rd in OBP.............Seattle is ranked 5th to last in OBP.

-Balt is ranked 1st in SLG% with their .485 average.............Seattle is 3rd to last in the league in this category.

Sidenote: Balt has hit 51 of their 64 HRs vs RHPs....They average .296 batting vs RHPs.....and They have Stolen 26 of their 35 SBs vs RHPs this year.

Sidenote: Balt in their last 10 games vs RHPs are hitting .315..........Seattle, in their last 10 games vs RHPs are hitting .250.

Sidenote: Run Support for Cabrera in his 8 starts totals 29 runs.............Run Support for Franklin in his 8 starts totals only 16

Sidenote (last nights stat): The M's Bats are AWOL again...Lopez had a 4.88 ERA for the season and a career 6.20 ERA against the Mariners, but none of that was in evidence last night....He threw a slight preponderance of strikes, and the Mariners took their hacks. DH Raul Ibanez had a single and a double and scored the Mariners only run, but Seattle got just three other singles.

Lastly, last night the O's were without their best hitter in the lineup as Roberts missed his first game this season to give his knee a rest....But good news is that he says he will be in tonights lineup....How good is this?...Well, lets look at how valuable Roberts is to this Baltimore Offense and how much of a serious threat he is to the Mariner's defense.....Roberts leads the league in hitting with his .378 batting average, in total Hits, and in SLG% with his .667....He is also ranked 3rd in Stolen bases with 13....He is raked 9th in total RBIs.....He is ranked 11th in most Walks on the year.....He is ranked 4th in HRs with 11.....He is ranked 3rd in OBP....and probably the most scariest stats for the M's that Roberts has, is that he is hitting .414 vs RHPs and has 9 of his 11 HRs vs RHPs....Oh Boy!

                              KEY ADVANTAGE # 3: Baltimore's BP vs Seattle's BP

-Balt has possibly the Best Closer right now in the AL in Ryan....He currently has 14 Saves on the year to go along with his 1.38 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and his .215 BAA....In the 26 innings he was called to close it out...he struck out 40 and walked just 9...Solid!

-Balt's BP is ranked 6th in the AL in Saves this year with 14.

-Balt's BP in their last 10 games has an ERA of 1.53......Seattle's BP in their last 10 games has an ERA of 5.35.

-Balt's BP in their last 3 games has an ERA of 1.71 and a WHIP of 1.38......Seattle's BP in their last 3 games has an ERA of 6.04 and a WHIP of 1.52.

                              -Seattle's BP has a 0-4 Record on the Road...and 3-9 W/L overall.

Bottom line,...if Balt calls on Ryan to Close the game out, its a done deal....However, if Seattle goes to their BP with a late lead, which I don't see happening, but if they do...Balt's bats always got a chance vs these struggling M's BP.

KEY ADVANTAGE # 4: Seattle's seems to have a serious case of the WTF's! (What The Fuck!)

How bad has things gotten for the M's:

-The Mariners, 6-15 this month, have failed to record double-digit victories in May only once in franchise history...That was in 1978 when the M's were 9-15.

-Balt's RHP Rodrigo Lopez who had never beaten the Mariners (0-3, with 6.20 ERA), and who had a current 4.88 ERA limited Seattle to one run on 5 hits for eight innings...And, he also picked up his first victory in over 6 weeks for the Orioles in that win as well.

-Moyer, after starting the season 5-0 with a 2.38 ERA,....is 0-1 with three no-decisions and a 15.15 ERA in his last 5 starts.

-Seattle is leading the AL in most strikeouts this year.

-Seattle is 3rd to last in fewest run production in the American League.

-The Mariners came into last night with 125 walks, putting Seattle on pace to finish with the franchise's worst full-season walk total since 1982.

-Mariners scored three runs or less for the 21st time in 45 games.

-Only OF Ichiro Suzuki is the consistant player on this team..and he is batting .424 in 85 career at bats at Camden Yards....But on Weds, he showed that even he is human, as he went 0-4 at the plate.

-After starting out the season with a solid Winning Road record....Seattle now has lost 9 of their last 10 on the Road.

-Mariners' big off-season signing of Adrian Beltre is turning out to be a disaster...This is his numbers so far on the year....238 batting average, .263 OBP, .372 SLG, 5 HRs...in 179 plate appearances....He's not just below average for his position (Baseball Prospectus has him at minus-9.3 runs so far compared to an average third baseman), he's below what you'd expect from a random sub....That could be just one small part of a larger problem...Beltre isn't a great speed threat, but he hasn't stolen a base at all, which begs the question: How badly is that tight hamstring hurting him? Beltre has said that he pulled it badly in 2000 and has been able to play on it ever since, even though it bothers him.

-The Mariners in the first game of this series, failed to get a bunt down, by their best sacrifice bunter Valdez, who claims to never miss a bunt..but he did and that could have brought them an extra run....The on defense, they failed to stop a bunt, and that cost them a run.

-Then the curse of the big fly hit reliever J.J. Putz...The M's righty was drilled for his 4th Bomb in his past 6 appearances....His last was in their first game also vs the O's when he gave up a tiebreaking Bomb in the bottom of the 8, that gave Baltimore a 3-2 victory over them....Previous to this, he gave up a solo Bomb on May 11 with the Mariners trailing the Yankees 12-9....Then in his next game, on May 14, he came in against Boston with the bases loaded and surrendered a grand slam to Trot Nixon....Followed by May 15th Grand Slammy he gave up, this time to the Yankees' Bernie Williams....And again, against the O's Gibbons who drove it out to left-center giving them the comeback 3-2 win.....Before all these disasters, Putz didn't give up any homers in his first 12 appearances, at which point he had a 0.87 ERA...Since then, his ERA has climbed to 2.76 and he was charged for the 1st time this season with a loss after that Homer given up the O's Gibbons.

It seriously seems that Putz is not the only player on this M's team who is cursed some way....They seriously need somekind of Exorcism to take out the demons that are taking away their game....Allth while, the O's suffering injury after injury to key players just continue to win all kinds of ways...and who still are sitting atop the AL East, ahead of the Yankees and the World Champion Boston Red Soxs.....Perfect!

*SOME OTHER STATS, TRENDS, AND INFO: Favoring Baltimore today.

-Balt is 16-6 vs teams with losing records.
-Balt is 14-7 in games where the total is 9 to 9.5.
-Balt is 21-10 vs RHP's...and in their last 10 games are hitting .315 vs them.
-Balt is 9-2 vs Seattle at Camden Yard....including winning 7 straight against the M's.
-Balt have won 11 of the last 13 overall games vs Seattle.

-Seattle is 4-10 vs AL East Opponents.
-Seattle is 8-18 in Night games.
-Seattle is 6-15 in games played this Month.
-Seattle is 8-12 vs teams with winning records.
-Seattle has lost 5 in a row on the Road and 9 of their last 10 away games.

                              CONCLUSION:

The O's know that when they went 3-3 vs KC and Philly they blew a chance to pad their rec...as they know that they have to dominate the cellar-dwellers, because needing to go .500-plus vs. contenders is much tougher down the stretch...and now it becomes even more important to do that especially with the loss of catcher Lopez for at least 6 weeks..and with CF Matos still out as well....But, the O's still have 4 of the 5, fearsome fivesome in Roberts, Melvin Mora, Tejada, and Sosa, still possessing the most potent lineup in the AL and with the emergence of DH/RF Gibbons currently on a hitting spree and providing even more juice this lineup (last week he hit .364, with 2 HRs, 7 RBI's, and 6 runs)...So what pitching staff in the division can stop this lineup? ...Surely not Seattle....Oh and I forgot to mention Rafael Palmeiro who has hit 50 HRs against the M's, 15 more than the next closest person..and he did it again last night....

Baltimore needs to keep winning and put some distance between them, the Red Sox, the surging Yankees, and the born again B-Jays all who have 25 wins to the O's AL East leading 29 wins....Slumping Mariners provide a good opportunity for them to do just that by completing the sweep today...Also, Cabrera can break out of his funk, much like Lopez did on Wednesday and Seattle's again provides a perfect opponent to do this against.... Baltimore has already won 7 straight at home against the Mariners..and there is no reason for me to think this trend won't continue tonight, especially since Seattle has dropped 5 in a row on the road and 9 of its last 10 games away from Home...With that said, take Baltimore ML as a "BIG GAME PLAY"-GAME OF THE WEEK selection.....GL and Aloha CC.

*please disregard any typos or grammatical errors as I had no time to edit this book...thxs.
