I have a buddy in Germany. Long before we invaded Iraq we often spoke about Europeans distate for American's. Bush has given then a legit reason for their hatred aside from envy and jealousy.

If Bush is the cause of the worlds dislike towards Americans than why were we attacked many times prior to and including 9/11. Bush has only infuriated them further. Once again I think it's great he has done so. I don't give a rat's ass what the rest of the world thinks of us. For decades they've only used us and then spit in our faces.

October 1983: 241 dead at the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut.

224 dead at the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in August 1998

17 dead on the USS Cole in Yemen in October 2000.

February 1993: Six people killed at the World Trade Center.

Lockerbie Pan Am Flight 103. 270 victims, 189 were Americans.

There's too many to list. All these attack occured long before we went to war with Iraq. Proof that there was hatred towards American's long before we invaded Iraq.

The value of my home has increased approx 125% under Bush. Foreign markets, which are all directly tied to the US market, are doing extremely well. For me. This is the bottom line.

You can continue to focus on the negative. I choose to focus on the positive and my financial position.

Of course Maher gets paid like everyone else in this country, but he has also has a compassion for people and more importantly a brilliant mind and an ability to point out very logically, coherently and with some humor thrown in, the pitfalls and great shortcomings of this administration.
My point about money is that I can understand how someone would support Bush/Cheney if the dominating consideration in his/her life is money because in my view Bush's actions and thoughts also center around helping the rich grow richer, while other considerations/thoughts(if any) are of secondary importance.
