I agree that a looser noose (J/K) should be given to new cappers that come on board. I didn't like him touting a record though that he didn't post on this site as that will only cause problems. I brought it up to him and he said no problem.

However, for him to all of the sudden start mentioning rainma n and leaving the site sounded a lot like the other. He could have easily stuck to his guns and just posted a play/plays. Instead he posts some forum that no ones even heard of that rainma n was schilling too.

Not to belabor this whole thing, but someone accused him first of being rainma n or a friend of his/hers. Don't think Stick brought it up. Someone stoked the fire and then sat back and watched the house burn down while others threw gas on it.

You know even though yesterday I tried to make a funny analogy to an old tv show by citing people whose sole purpose in posting may be to try to ultimately lure people away from this and get them to pay for their picks, I have reconsidered and have to agree at least in principle with Coverboy's and other' assessment in instances like this.
Sooner or later if someone has intentions which are not pure and/or detrimental to the forum, he will give himself away, and that will be the end of him;most of the people who post here have a modicum of intelligence and were not born yesterday.
In the meantime, I personally believe(although I do respect the right of those who own/run the forum to make the decisions which they see best) that perhaps Stickman was run off too quickly especially since he had at least initially shown a flair for picking winners.
If the moderators feel he is a troublemaker, well, lets just put the whole thing in terms of a baseball analogy:
I am a big Red Sox fan, and there are many Sox fans who don't like Manny Ramirez's attitude about sometimes loafing, appearing indifferent and can't wait to see him traded.
I feel just the opposite;sure I get pissed off when he doesn't run out a grounder or makes a bonehead play like not knowing how many outs there are and complaining all the time about being traded.
That being said, he is and has always been a VERY important cog in the Sox lineup and will be difficult to replace.
My point is that in case of Manny as is with case with winning cappers I look for results first and am willing to put up with any negativity until/if such time when the negatives outweigh the positives.
Obviously my analogy is far from perfect as the financial considerations from running a forum like this are somewhat different from those of running a baseball team.
Again, I realize it is easy for me to be an armchair quarterback and there is much more than meets the eye, but I did want to express my overall feelings in the matter, and again I have the highest regard for those who run the forum and must make these difficult decisions.

I find it peculiar that you think you have or would lose money because a certain unproven new member has left the site. What you are saying is that if your proven handicapping methods show a "special" or "name the score rating", that you would abandon your picks if this new guy is on the other side because he is "hot". Think about that. The guys that follow your picks would lose confidence in your selections which over the long haul produce more winners than losers. Also, I would like to know how many members or viewers saw this guys post and immediatly played these 8 picks without any basis or track record other than his boast of past picks or first post. I think none.

The reasons he was banned is trying to convert other people to another forum, much like me using your own computer to referr people to another Dentist....

Lets understand why he was banned before we take up for, and ask about his whereabouts.....You're smart enough, wise enough, to know thes kind have invaded here before........If he's legit, he'el be back, and you and all the others can ride his picks as much as you want.........

All I ask, is understand the situation regarding his banishment, and continue to pick your own plays, I don't think you need his picks to make money---do you????????

Geppi, the main point here is that the guy posted untrue records, that's all, and he disliked what he was told....The drama only began when he posted them....If you post it you will put yourself into the fire, and that goes for everyone including myself....
This forum will and continue to run as the Mods see fit and you or myself can't do anything about it....Unless you want to give Monte $$$$ to help him out, otherwise it's his...And the rest of us peons have to abide by the rules set here...Nothe else matters or you won't be here, that's all...Discussions only make for a better forum and BC is the best....

I don't post a lot on any of the forums I belong to for a variety of reasons none of which should be your concern. Why are you so worried about what my previous posts were anyway? Seems to me thats the same as worrying about someone's stated record and how you value it. Also, Dr. Bob has some good takes on the games and is a solid guy who has been around for a long time and if you remember posting services used to be allowed here. Try reading some of his write ups on the games, they're very informative and sometimes you think his stats don't support the team he picks so you go the other way. Oh ans don't worry about my contributions; I speak up when I feel I should and I don't BS a lot. You got in the guys (Sticks) face (BTW I don't see a "moderator" title under your alias) and then you got upset when he made reference to your "pizza" counts. And Chucky I've been here since 2002 and will probably be here long after your pizza's are burnt.
