thanks everyone like i said the worst is my legs are jumping and i feel like a bunch of people putting pins inbody i am past the cold chills and vomiting now just diahreah and no sleep

JERRY,PAIN AND I BOTH DID IT COLD TURKEY,i am 52,no way i could do it now without rehab if i started using again,anyway remember 12 step groups,being around other people going thru the same pains you are,well i can not over-emphasize how important it was to me when i was going thru the dt's,its really important to have someone to call at 3.00 am when you are going thru those sleepless nights,you can find that someone at AA or NA whichever you prefer and there is no costs=and remember it only gets better with time but if you slip up and use-you have to go thru all this agony all over again !! ps-the first year i was sober,i went to meetings everyday,sometimes 2or 3 if i was not working,and the members of my group became my best friends,we shared rides to meetings like a car pool,and hung together all the time,especially late at night when we could not sleep-GET AND STAY AWAY FROM ALL THE OLD FRIENDS AND HANGOUTS WHERE YOU DRUGGED OR DRANK,EVEN IF IT MEANS LOSING FRIENDS-THIS IS YOUR LIFE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BROTHER-SINCERELY IRONMAN !!

IF YOU GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO REHAB-take it,its a cakewalk compared to doing it cold turkey-LOVE YOU BROTHER !!

thanks buddy you know what i have no friends but the people here my brother is actually my best friend because he is the only person i have called on the phone in 2 yrs just to talk.how fucked up can you be that you dont call anyone but 1 person for 2 yrs and i could probably say at least 5 years but dont wanna lie,this is really a mental disorder i dont care what anyone says.addiction is not a moral issue in my eyes its a mental.my life was about getting the pillls having enough for the weekend and just being alone at the computer playing poker for 5 hours a night giving my wifes kids little attention but lots of love only thinking about me.how pitiful of a human being could do that

going wednesday and will stay clean i have since dec 10th if you dont count methadone. And the 3 vicodins the doctor gave me today.made me feel better but tolerence is so high now did nothing for me.sad thing is that a dose i would take on any given night would kill someone if trying it the first time.i heard someone with no opiate tolerence would die on 40 mg of methadone and they had me at 70 mg unreal

buddy last time i told you i went and my insurance would not cover it but i tried at that time i had no other option but use or get sick for a week and miss work.so i started using again and then found out about methadone i took it to get off the pain pills because you get no high off of it at all but stops withdrawl's and cravings so thought it was the best thing in the world until i just now figured out taking methadone to get off of pain meds is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline.i thought i was doing something good but now i know its stronger than and worse to come off of and more addictive than the pain pills itself honest mistake.

Sorry again for all that i have done to you and the family i really am a good guy just made some fucked up decisions in my life.

The way you fix this Jerry is to be clean and turn your life around. I know it's easy for me to say, but if you really want to get things straightened out with your family, you have to be strong and stay clean.

It doesn't seem to me that vicodin's are going to make matters better. Life is awesome brother and from what it sounds like to me, you had no life at all. There's so many things you can do and be when you're clean and sober.

While it's good to be ashamed of what you did and not want to go back to that place again, it's also good to look forward and stay positive and know that YOU CAN do this.

You need to tell yourself often that the ONE way you can make up for all that you've done is to be a 'man' who's clean and sober. And prove to your brother and family that you are indeed a 'man' who is in control of his life. Not a 'person' where drugs and alcohol control them.

I didn't take anything wrong Bryce.He needs support,well wishes and a foot in his ass to keep him motivated.I can promise you he has all the support in the world from our family.

I want to stress the point i have been sober from beer and pills since dec 10 if you dont count methadone and the 3 beers i drank on new years and the 3 pills i took yesterday the doctor gave me to help withdrawl.My head is in the right place.the methadone was at first thought my best option live and learn.yesterday felt normal but today will be kinda bad just starting minor withdrawls now but seeing the dr tomorrow in exactly 24 hrs. I am stayingwith maw maw vols through this ordeal because i did not want the kids to see me but they saw me sick thursday and were worried i told them the truth and told them they were my biggest motivation they have texted me every day and beem good and got me through the tough part.I went home yesterday but its easier here less shame. If you have never been through this you will never understand.this was not my choice it just seemed to happen it sneaks up on ya 1 week you feel like your a better dad,worker,driver,everything,hell i get to the point i feel like i dont play poker as well if not on the pills.this is a disease.i really wished the govt would regulate this alot more.With all these deaths in hollywood lately i see this changing soon i hope at least for everyone that just gets caught up in this hell.vols i love ya buddy sorry for everything really mean it.

when i walked in that first AA meeting,i had no friends either,except drugging buddies,who did not have my back,you will be shocked how many people are in 12 step groups,probably some of the people you work with-later brother !! ps-my own mother had told me to get the GD hell off her property !!
