I only mentioned it because as usual and as you did in the Comdo thread, make sweeping generalizations.
I should have said because I did speak Spanish, I was given many Spanish clients to interview during my 34 years of doing investigative work for the Dept. of Transitional Assistance.
I also bought refresher books about grammatical Spanish and conversational Spanish and studied them from August of 2005 until she got a Green Card and arrived here in March of 2006.
