Yes. They are expecting major flooding in that Parish. I'm in the next parish over, but we are much higher, about 25 feet above sea level.

We just need to be able to with stand the 125 mph winds. We should be able to handle that.

Mom and I want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. You guys are really special.

The rains have started about 1:30 ago. Heavy at times, then it stops for a while. The winds are not so bad yet, but it's coming.

I may or may not have power in the morning, so I want to let you all know how special you guys are to me. A bunch of great guys/gals that really have a heart and care.

I will keep in touch with Spark and a few other via text or cell phone calls as long as I have service.

Ok guys ... We now know pretty much that the eye will pass right over me. We will be getting winds of 115 mph in just a few more hours.

The feeder bands are upon me now. Winds are currently 30 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 60 to 70. Our power just went off, but came back on. It won't be long till it goes out for a few days.
