    Jimmy,
I think I am going to Houston. Did you get my email with the weather link?
You stay safe down in Thibadoux. If you have too get out, don't be "brave" - get out.
    dave
Yes, I got the map .... Thank You very much!!!

Take care Dave, be safe. We are staying, unless we see that it will become a Cat 5. We are 20+ feet above sea level here, so all we have to do is dodge the tornadoes.

We are all set here. I have 50 Gallons of gas, food, water, etc.

The only thing I don't like here is that the Parish I am in, Lafourche, is having a mandatory evacuation and everything in the Parish MUST shut down by 3:00 pm tomorrow. I believe that it's a bit early for that. Nothing will be open till the storm passes. Well, I guess they are trying to get us all out.

    Take Care Pal. God Bless!!!!

would be very shocked if it got north of a cat 3 at land fall...if anytime we see that gustav would get higher then a 4 will be right away once it hits cuba, as the water temps are north of 86 degrees, but once in the middle of the gulf, temps are still warm (82-84) and the water has such great depths that the cool water underneath the surface will keep it under control to a cat 2-3 with a storm surge of 10-15 feet with winds around 120mph....still going to be a big storm but it's not going to be the cat 5 out in the ocean like katrina, but people don't really know that before landfall she was only a cat 3, but it was the storm surge that really damaged the entire state....good luck and everyone around the world will be praying for anyone in louisana or texas

Mike, thanks so much buddy. My family is here now and we should be ok. So far, the storm is not as strong as predicted.

It would also be a pain to leave right now. The roadways are all cluttered.

If I see that I have to leave, I will probably have to take LA 1 North. I believe that will get me near you. If we do have to leave, I will contact you.
