    Your kidding right?

    thats' humorous.

So it was just a 95% fire sale?

    That makes it all justified?

    LMFAO!!!!

    • Of course it was a fire sale. I believe that they had the most rookies ever on opening day this year. Just because they got a good player in return doenst mean it wasnt a fire sale.

When did the Marlins get Ryan Howard?

        I thought was in Philly?

Now you are playing right into my hands. Read above, of course Gonzalez and Cora are not the answer but they went with Defense to improve 2 other positions. You have to give a little to get a little in every trade.

I figured with him playing some last year that he might not be eligible. He would win for sure. How is 2nd in the voting though John? Is there a guarantee your prospect would do that? No.

Well thank you. You have played into mine as well.

We trade for Tejada, we don't impove our pitching, and we lose our top prospect on top of it.

Nope but when you dump salary and get a SS for the next 10 years who has 20 SB'S in his Rookie season. I think the GM did his job and grabbed a great return in that trade.

LMFAO ... How is losing 2 guys that don't pitch UN-IMPROVING IT???

You were not losing ANYTHING off your MLB team in that trade!

Prior = 1 Start all year with 3+ innings pitched and an ERA of 17.18 .................... EXACTLY what would you have lost this year in pitching John? You may have had one more win if he hadn't pitched!

WOOD = 1-2 in 4 starts and possibly done for the year. Walks & HR's allowed equal strikeouts (13). Again, nothing gained and only salary lost!

You would be losing a TON without those 2 on the team.

I have a longer life fan in Joe agreeing with ME. Maybe, just maybe it's your mind that is "Clouded"??

We're still without pitching....that's what we needed, not a shortstop

I disagree, they would have taken Prior in a heartbeat so keep going down your own road. Also, why didn't you tell me where all the "Lost Pitching" is there???

John, I'm equally amazed at how you treat Tejada like he is a run of the mill SS. Maybe you should check him out or even his stats. Include this year and again convince me that he's old or some other excuse. He is one of if not the GREATEST SS in the game today. You can't underestimate what a player and personality like him would do for that team. Him and Lee together could get you a 5 year window to do ALOT!

                              Ortiz & Ramirez

                              Sheffield & Arod

                              Tejada & Lee

                              • It's not that I don't like Tejada...

He's one of the top SS in the game today hands down. I'm nor knocking him.

I'm knocking the notion that the Cubs have to give up on Prior yet. I refuse to think he's a lost cause YET. And tradeing him away for Tejeda was NOT what the Cubs needed to do.

What's wrong with Ramierez and Lee?

Ramierez has quietly become a very good third baseman, and if you have Lee in the lineup he's that much better.
