Here's something to root for this summer....

A few friends and I pooled $250 and bet it on Ryan Howard to lead the majors in homers at 40-1. It pays 10 grand. If he actually wins it a blowout trip to Vegas during football season will be the sweetest reward.

    You never know.

1B on the Phillies. He lead the minors in homers a couple years ago and he hit 22 after he was called up last year. Also he lead spring training in homers this year, for what that's worth. We thought he represented good value in that ballpark.

We got this bet on pinnacle a few days ago. I noticed that they have taken down the Home Run champion prop there.

It was 18-1 at a few other sites when we placed our bet.

I wanted to bring this thread back up to the top. Things have gone way better than I anticipated.

                Current standings:

                1. Pujols, StL 25 (DL)
                2. Soriano, Was 23
                3. HOWARD, PHI 22

He's right there! I hope he can keep it up...

Its breaking off into a 2 man race. I hope Ortiz rips something in his leg.
