My one book years ago, owed me $36,000 after the Super Bowl...He had some people owe him very large amounts...He paid a guy to threat and scare the guys......He just got out of jail after 6 years and his hitman is still doing time...And I'm beat along with everyone that he owed when he went to prison.....Do you think the Cops will help me if I tell them he owes me $$$$......That's life, just move on....

      WOW! Interesting Chuck!

The best advice obviously has to be to cut your losses and move on.

I do feel like sharing a stroy tho:
One of my locals paid a guy 30 grand over the course of two months, two weeks later the same guy lost 15 grand and couldnt come up with a dime because he claimed he had paid his bills with the $$$. So my local paid someone to follow the guy around. He would sit at work with him, show up at lunch with his girlfriend. Talk to his mom while at starbucks. He never threatened or anything like that but obviously it wore on the guy. Results are yet to be determined...

This is a little off topic, but I stopped using locals about 6 years ago.
The great thing about a good and reliable offshore is that you know you will always get paid and that you can't bet money you don't have;in addition you can bet early in the week in football, and in basketball and other sports, the offshores are open 24 hours for your bets unlike most of the seedy locals which are open for about 1 1 1/2 hours each day.
In addition, it is such a pain in the ass to have to go out and meet at a designated spot and time with the local every week to settle up(obviously worse if you have to pay).
I know some don't agree, but for me I consider betting with a local as opposed to an offshore about the same as watching a sporting event on regular tv when you can see it in high definition.-in short it is ok to do so, but they (locals) are outdated, and there is a better means to bet.

Take a baseball bat to him, Because once people find out he got away with owing you money and believe me he will brag about it others will do the same. F*** the dead beat. Threats over the phone are BS get in his face and show him you want your money. Tell him you will take payments but you want your money. He'll pay if it's done right.

All he has to do is have a recording of you saying or email of you saying my buddy is going to come over and settle this and you can be put away..You can be charged with money laundering which is a serious felony and also illegal bookmaking(i think thats what its called) which is also a minor felony...So i would tell you to stop and leave it alone before its a serious problem for you

You can't be put away for making a threat. If you follow up on a threat then that's a different story.

You put it in writing which can make a difference. However, there really isn't much that can be done about a threat. It's only if you act upon it. Of course the other party can take out a restraining order which you would then get served on.

PS..I wasnt really going to kill him he just pissed me off hah, And also if someone threatened the president or anyone in the government for that matter they will be held temporarily as well so it matters how severe the threat is and is it recorded whether verbally or written

Yea monte thats correct, yet if they are pursuing this guy on an attempt to commit murder, they CANNOT hold him for his bookmaking. An example is if they were pursuing murder charge on a guy and they find drugs in his house they cannot arrest him for drugs because that was not their motive in the case...unless they would have stated in the warrant a search for not only evidence but drug paraphilnlia(SpellinG??)
