No problem, Rook. Money is important, but to me the inward feelings one has about himself are much more important.
Something tells me that Carson Palmer is not saying to himself, "Wow-I have all of this money and I may never have to play again. Boy was that easy;its too bad it didn't happen in the first game."

Unless your an attractive 20-40 yr old female, i will refrain from kissing you ass. Im sorry you lost money on the game, so just unload on the Colts on Sunday and you will feel all better.

Coming from personal experience and this same thing happen to me but in camp, but I wasn't a starter or pro bowler......It's a big blow at first, but when you sit down and realize that you'll still alive and friends and family still love you...Life goes on...........When I got cut they sliced a 10 inch hole in my knee to repair it and you were finished with sports.....It's a simple procedure now a days.
But for everyone of his fans here that thinks his Pro Football Career is over is completely wrong....It's up to his therapy and how his body heals and how hard he wants it....He still could play, just ask Teddie Bruskie....

Definitely with you on Indy... And I didn't lose any money on Cincy.

Chuck-I hear you, and of course coming from an athlete, I certainly respect your opinion, and it does make sense.
Of course everyone is different and would react to such an injury in a different way-some would be devastated, some like you would adjust in time, some would be indifferent as long as they got the money(assuming money was involved), some would accept is as god's will if they were religious and on and on and on.
I guess from an outsider's point of view, it depends on one's own personal philosophy as we have seen today from the varied responses what the proper response to the injury should be.
I think your reponse is particularly meaningful because you have actually experienced a similar experience sans the big money. On the other hand, for the most part, most of us including me are trying to look at the situation in a strictly theoretical manner as to how WE would react if we were in Palmer's shoes.
ps Hopefully he will play again, and this whole discussion will be history.
