The 3 minutes I've spent responding to this topic is already
WAAYYYY more than it deserves. It's no big deal.

So on his way to the golf course, Palmer has to "hobble" to the
bank to deposit his $8 Million a year! Boy...now THAT'S worth
getting all choked up about!! What a joke!
its not about the money palmer is making -- to me he is a class act and didnt deserve to go out like this on a late hit to his knee

it would be different if he was injured during a sack

Intentional or not, that's life in the NFL...Get over it....So he don't play any more and takes his 100 Million and retires and takes up golfing....That's something you'll never get to try...

HA!!! You would take just about anyone over Peyton! Remember how over-rated he is!?!?!?!

I am very happy to see that when you made your selections tho, you have a "cheesburger" on the colts -9.5. That has nothing to do with Manning tho I bet!!! Probably all their ressurected defense!!! HA!!!

Did the NFL fime VonOlhoffen? Did they suspend him for this week?

Every QB that gets hit today has a chance he could get really hurt....They have 300-400 lb guys falling on them and some only way 190....Think about that.

I think Manning will shred Pittsburgh this weekend as well!
As far as NE, the Colts already slapped NE in the mouth on MNF ealrier this season in Foxborogh. I think the Colts would take their chances with anyone in the dome!

Did you wager on Cincy? If you did, your not neutral. I am not defending Olenhauf cause I am a Steeler fan, I dont think it was intentional.

"but in ways it affects everybody".......?????

This doesn't effect me one iota!! I've been gambling for 30+ years,
and I could care less if Palmer never took another snap!

Next year, someone else will be under center for the Bengals,
and the game goes on!! It's that simple! Palmer or no Palmer!
And everyone will be gambling their hard-earned cash on the games
as if nothing ever happened. And you may hear Palmer's name mentioned
only a few times all year....maybe!

                              Final comment....to clear this up.

                              1) the hit was NOT intentional

                              2) the people that cheered his injury should be ashamed

                              3) the people that continue to scoff at the fact that his career is over are extreamely insensitive. It's still someone's career. If you think he and his family are somehow "ok" with that...well then you never ever played a sport and had a dream.

                              4) I bet the over....

I think some of us need to just hug it out here.
