I think the bashing is good. If Frank didn't keep these people honest, we'd have all kinds of members claiming to win huge percentages, we'd have services trying to sneak in. Screw it, I say bash away, if you can't take the heat, get out the kitchen. People come here because they want good advice, not random advice, if the site is not regulated, everyone will get bad advice and the site will be useless. I don't know if that made sense, but....

i can understand B dubs point, I interpret it as he is saying this forum isn't in place to be all cozy and lovey dovey, we're here for business, and business advice, so why should we worry about all the fuzzy feelings?

The problem is that we have created a BC family that doesn't operate this way on a daily basis, so it's kind of hypocritical for us to take that stance, on the other hand not all regular posters buy into the family thing...to each his own...we will not be on the same page in here, that's the beauty of it!!

Why do we make excuses for guys who can't take the heat? Life is a struggle. No one is going to hold our hands throughout life.

I think people hide behind the phrase..."I'm protecting the newbies" just so they can bash a guy into pieces. That's just BS in my opinion. I've said this before, all you have to do is lose big, once or twice, to know not to follow some guy blindly who touts a GOY or BS record. We don't need to be lectured or protected. This is the major problem here and why Rainman receives so much hype. He hypes and is hyped. PERIOD!

A guy's record will speak for itself....He's made out to be a Savior because guys won't leave it be....I find myself curiously wanting to side with him. Because at this point around here, he is the underdog, and I always pull for the underdog. I guess most Savior's are the underdog. It does make for interesting reading.....

Kaz, I disagree with this 10,000% Words can't express how much I disagree.

If that's the case why do some sport bettors continuously seek service selections. They know services suck. Many gamblers are desperate for the certain winner. It never comes.

BW, that's why I said what comes first? The chicken or the egg. The BC regulars hardly ever bash a newbie unprovoked. In fact it is usually the opposite. Anytime a new member creates a thread or posts it is the regulars that welcome and wish them luck.

I challenge anyone to dispute that.

I DON'T need to be told who is right and who is wrong. I can make that judgement for myself. If I lose money, IT'S MY MONEY. Not yours. I appreciate the notion of proptection, but really, it goes to an unbelievable extreme here sometimes. It' noble, but in life, we need to learn by our mistakes.

Spark, that is why I try to create threads where people can offer their opinion without getting bashed. Like my Streak Poll. It helps get the guys involved. We rarely see any bashing in those type of threads. A few weeks ago Dimer created a thread on Manning. It was a great debate. A great thread.
