cool
i just checked right now and glad to see everyones views on the topic with most of the sites top cappers weighing in.........
I guess my view is the minority view here..........yes we do have a bunch of clowns seeking attention throwing out the term GOY on the hope that they win and get a lot of views
But dont you guys think that everybody can tell just by the 'views' whether or not it is a legit play?? I am not sure my overall GOY record but i know it is very good; for that matter, i know that if i (and i shouldnt be using myself as an example ) post an NFL GOY that there would only be one all year and that there would be a hell of a lot of views.........same with a lot of the veteran cappers whereas the people that are posting GOY's weekly or new people posting it for attention are only going to get 1/20th the amount of views and that should tell the newer people to the site which GOY's have more credibility
Look, i think it is safe to say that here, the amount of views you get on your plays is probably the best indicator of the kind of capper everyone thinks you are, so if some new guy puts a GOY out tonight, maybe he gets 55 views and if EZ or wayne or rj or frank or about 10 others do it, there will be 2000 views or more...........
I agree with you guys to the extent that what makes GOY's stupid is the fact that all services have a GOY every day.......but i think we should let people continue to post these GOY's, even the people nobody knows and let the public out there decide what to do with them
Isnt the primary goal of this site to steer gamblers away from services who lie, cheat and steal and show them that the people here who get a lot of views have records much much better than any service?? Am i wrong?? I think for the most part, people who come to this site have their individual favorite cappers, i know i do, and i would hope that people use their head when betting and their common sense tells them "well i am new to BC but this guy has 2000 people viewing his plays and that guy has 30, maybe the guy with 2000 is what i should play"..............Even the newer guys will learn that respect here does not come from a shot in the dark GOY....the only way someone gets their views to the highest level is time, honesty, insight and the ability to stand out........
sorry so long

I for one hope that no one follows my plays exclusively because I am an average capper. Saturday, I made almost 15 units, but got very few views. I don't care. I hope that people look at my plays and it may re-inforce their thinking as to how to play a game. I think everyone knows who the good cappers are here. Follow the ones that are good and are on a good streak and match up with what you like. GOY,GOM,GOH (game of hour) I don't think matters. Everyone is responsible for their own money management. 2 more cents from PhilJr...

Shorty, when a cappers constantly uses the term it potentially causes other problems. About a year ago their was a new member who posted a GOY almost every day. He hit his first 2 or so. His views went sky high. Then he started losing. You know some members were probably taking a bath. It turns out the new member was a service. He was creating GOY after GOY thread for attention.
Unfortunately, we have too many members who are service wannabees. They create their threads with hype and other BS. Solely seeking attention.

Given that I hit my major league baseball play of the year on a dog yesterday (series play on Angels at +130) I demand being included in any game of the year records.
LOL.
Seriously, i think the problem is some people just throw those words around. In my case, I bet my own picks at exactly the rating I post. Almost all of my plays are 1* (that equals my normal bet size). A 2* means I double up on a game. My games of the year are 4*, meaning I bet four times the normal amount. I make only one of these plays per sport per year and perhaps another in the post-season. I think it is wrong to reccommend something as a game of the year of 50* play or some other hype if you don't back it up with your own money. The reason I keep records of my picks including a unit total is to not only be upfront about how I'm doing with real money but to give some indication of how I have done not only on wins and losses but in making money---the thing that really counts.
