Quick comment on GOY's.......please read

Kazdog, Who's job would it be to track all the GOY plays and make sure all your rules apply? It sounds good but it is virtually impossible to do or track!

GOY plays shouldn't be mixed in a thread. I guess your missing my point. They should be bigger and more important than that. Tracking also means you might have to be here daily for 3 years just to see 3 plays. It simply wouldn't work and again, who's going to track it? The guys that used to here have stopped (I think).

Well I guess it would have to be on the honor system, and most everyone here is honorable. Those that aren't should stick out like a sore thumb, no? It's just a thought that GOY's have records included. I'm sure the lyers would be pretty easy to pick out....Again, just a thought

i agreee one hundred percent that a GOY IS ON FREAKIN GAME as wayne has stated...at least to me i do not care how much of a following i get when i put out plays, if i can help one person that day then i did what i was suppose to do by posting, everyone would luv to be followed and respected as much as wayne,chuck,10dime,kapt and others but that takes time...personally i am 27-12-2 between cfb and nfl iwould honestly have a hard time putting out a GOY cause i know that people really step up there action, so if someone out there is following me and i have made them some coin i do not want them to give it back on 1 game...i am not saying it would never happen but i would really need some great info...it is so hard to be a winner at this why give it back that easily...i also luved what kaz said about posting records i wish we all did it one way or another....just some thoughts from a rookie a b/c best of luck guys....

Honor system will work fine here... and for this reason...

GOYs don't happen very often... whether they win or lose it makes a HUGE impact and people remember it. They will reflect on it and remember that capper for the next time, whether they won or lost and whether they are going to follow him again or not. If someone claims to have won and didn't, I'm sure there will be others that lost money following that capper on it that will be more than happy to call him out on his false record!

Believe me i agree about keeping a record. I'm the 1st to do it and i believe it's the best way here on this website in a room of for the most part strangers to build and keep integrity. I've preached that since day one!

The problem is people have trouble posting something negative about themself (like a record) and it starts to get "Sugar Coated" quickly. Honesty would be great but too many people ruin it for others!

You have people posting on forums all the time just looking to be the man or be a stud for a day in the eyes of others.

I myself have said many time. This is not about who is the most popular. Who has the "bigger Dick".

This is about beating the books Nothing more nothing less. If I wasn't here to win and help others. I would spend my time doing something else.

That's exactly my point Tigger.....There are few GOY's and most everyone here are not the problem. The guy who is a problem will stand out due to the very fact that he loses these GOY's. If the record is posted, it won't be too hard to follow and people won't follow him if he loses. If you don't post your record, there should be a penaly. Deleted post, suspension, or burned at the stake.....

I get your point Wayne and Homer, but it's at least some kind of solution rather than banning them altogether. Just a mandatory GOY record. I think it could work to some degree. Obviously, there will be some flaws like sugarcoating. But hopefully not too many will get away with it without being caught....Getting caught is embarassing

I'm not sure who said anything about banning anybody. I didn't. I just want to stop seeing the same people post a GOY every week. They certainly wouldn't get banned for it if they did .... GEEZ!

Wayne....I didn't say ban members....Frank mentioned 'banning' GOY's from the site altogether and this is what I was referring to. This was just a small solution to keep GOY's from being banned, since some like them and some don't. Just trying to be helpful and NOT an asshole....

Well if you banned GOY plays then you would be banning members because their not going to stop posting them. Things are fine like they are and by reading the threads, i can see people already know the ones that post weekly and the ones that don't. Which is good!

I'd be more than happy to keep track of EVERYONE'S GOY plays and the record with them... I can do a quick spreadsheet up that will have all the information, BUT...

I need help from everyone.... I AM NOT GOING TO GO INTO EACH AND EVERY CAPPERS THREAD TO SEE IF IT INCLUDES A GAME OF THE YEAR THAT DAY.....

"THE CAPPER MUST POST "GOY" IN THE TITLE OF THE THREAD OR I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR TRACKING IT"

The rest I will take care of, starting last weekend..... Wayne I will be emailing you a copy of this spreadsheet hopefully by the end of the day for you and Spark to approve.
