Tigger that's fine but i don't want to be included in any of that spreadsheet. It will simply turn into another contest of who's the best and everyone will start posting them and start out with a fresh (0-0) record. I personally don't think it's the answer to anything but a contest and my GOY plays are serious and personal, not somehing i just want thrown into a spreadsheet with others. (JMO)

I think we should just ask everyone who posts GOY to have a record for that season in any sport... Not that we have to monitor everyone and keep their records for them, but just if we see it then we just put a post in their thread to post their record for GOY... or just straight out ask them their record for this season. Anyone posting false records would be spotted pretty easily especially if they posts GOY often. If they don't comply or give false records they could be banned.

That is exactly how I feel... my GOY plays are very personal to me as well, but I am willing to keep track of the records and such..... it will not be a contest... it will not even be posted! I will keep it in my computer on file and given something happen that I need to reference it, then I will..... I'll have all the plays and all the history of each and every individual capper that has made one. That is the only reason it will be used for. If someone has an inquiry of a particular cappers GOY record they can email me and I will email it back to them personally.... no hype, no publicity!

I didn't mean ban members who post GOY selections. I meant ban the use of the term GOY in the thread title. I'm sure a Mod has the ability to edit a thread title.

Or use the **** feature which happens automatically with the use of certain words like C-overs.

                Record Keeping

While we are on the topic of GOY record keeping I believe any member who posts their selections should post their record in that particular sport.

For any member that states they don't keep records that's BS. There's only one reason for not posting records. They have something to hide. If a capper takes the time to cap the games then they should be required to keep records.

Many of us agree GOY is used too lightly by too many members. They do so only for attention. Personally, I have no tolerance for any capper who can't check their ego at the door. Post winners! Post an honest record. You'll get the attention.

I agree 100% frank. I didnt keep my record posted last year. This year i decided to do so. I've always wanted to keep accurate records. So this year i'm keeping them. I pride myself in playing few games and win or lose I wont run and hide or make excuses. Ive said it before and i'll say it again. I love to joke around and have fun, but nothing sports wise is even close as important as wagering on games is.

Who plays baseball but never tracks their batting average? Who plays golf but never keeps score?

I for one certainly like to know how I'm doing with anything I do in life. The same applies to capping.

I for one haven't had the greatest (record wise) beginning of the season, but it's posted each and every time I have a play to post.... it's the right thing to do!
