Wayne-I would have to have seen what he did over a period of time under the exact circumstances, and how many people he signed for as opposed to how many he did not in order to make a judgment.
If I am too accepting of him, then perhaps you haven't considered all thee good and wonderful things he has done for sick children and charity, and have almost inferred that this is not big deal.
I still say that the word asshole is much too strong a word for what he did or did not do on a given day especially when you compare that to others I mentioned like Albert Belle or Barry Bonds.
Again, I respect your opinion, but based on what I have seen and heard about him, i like the guy, his attitude toward the game, his teammates and what he has done for less fortunate people who reside in or near the city of Boston.

Savage are you sure Bonds and Belle haven't did any charity work? Like Wayne said a lot of famous people do charity work to have their name out there thus boosting their popularity and $$. Some of them do it because it really means something to them. If their giving money and help raising money then that's great even if its for a BS reason, because the money goes to a good cause. However, that doesn't mean the person isn't an ass.

A lot of famous people are asse's and one could easily say that's, because they get hounded all the time. My answer is simple if they don't like it quit whatever they are doing and their popularity will die down to nothing to where they can live a very normal life.

I know Dan Hampton of the Chicago Bears and he has done fund-raisers for us for schools and other outings .. Dynamite guy .. I have pictures wearing his Super Bowl ring ... You talk about a class guy ... he would give you you the shirt off his back ...

Monte, We didn't put it on our finger. We just held it up and grabbed some pictures. It was funny, my girls friend was shaking so bad holding it and trying to take a picture she said "Hey Trot, you hold it and let your buddy take the picture because i'm too nervous" His buddies were laughing and saying she was pushing her luck. Trot Nixon went WELL beyond what he had to do for us and he is a GREAT guy aside from baseball (IMO)!

I think we should notify Vegas of this, have them put out a line, call in Don King to promote it for a month or so, and then of course everyone bets on the 60 year old weakling(me) against the powerful Wayne in his 30's and bets a prop that I will knock him out in the first round at 50-1 odds, and then fix the fight so that it happens.
Of course, I will just nudge Wayne, and he can fall over and simply see he passed out from something he ate. Hows that?
