  • 3 Wise Men Report Monday 6/13/05

Decent Day Yesterday ( and 31-21 for the week )

    but ….

So many times in the last few weeks there has been 1 game which stops us from having a monster day. Yesterday our fly in the ointment was Pittsburgh, who miraculously tied their game up in the bottom of the 9th and had a golden opportunity to win it in the 10th , only to lose in the 13th on a 2 run homer by Alex Sanchez, the world famous Joe DiMaggioesque shoe - in future Hall of Famer . " Splinter - Ass " Sanchez closed his good eye , made a pass at a baseball , and then hit The Lottery. Even a congested pig can sniff out a truffle … but it only happens once in a blue moon.

We loosened up the rules this past weekend , played some high line games ,and I know you're wondering about that. There were 2 reasons actually. 1) because we felt a nice run coming on , and 2 ) I get the feeling that most of you are allowed to lay 1 run for much less vig than the standard High Line - Money Line Play.

Please let us know if you are able or not to lay 1 run in high line games. This way we can gear our selections accordingly.

One more note …. Lately our play - on teams have been leaving stranded way too many men on base , especially in the late innings. This trend has got to stop immediately.

It's a new week and greed never takes a day off so Let's Go .

    The Plays For Monday:

    National League:

    1 ½* Chicago Cubs RL (+1 ½ -110 )

    Interleague:

    1 ½* Houston RL ( +1 ½ -155 )

    1* Milwaukee -130

    1 ½* Chicago White Sox -175 ( Lay 1 Run for a reasonable Vig )

    1* Texas -135

    1* Washington +125

    2* Washington RL ( +1 ½ -175 )

Note: If you can not lay 1 Run with the White Sox consider a 3 team Parlay with

    White Sox -175
    Houston RL +1 ½
    Washington RL +1 ½

    100 pays 306

Or … if you are feeling adventurous play each straight. Use judgment.

I can't get the -1 RL... I just either parlay the high lines or break steadfast wisemen rule and lay 1.5. When I lay 1.5, I play for half the units and I also play for half the units on the ML. So if a team wins by 1 run I hit the ML and lose the RL, basically breaking even, but if a team loses I lose a lot less juice then on a high line RL play.

Thanks for your work today and keep on grinding it out.

Everyone can lay -1. Just play the runline for whatever you win on the moneyline. Example
White Sox ML $185 to win $100. White Sox RL $100 to win $135. Your betting $285 to win $235, if the White Sox win by 1, you push.
