To be honest one member did not provoke this thread. This is something Coverboy and I have discussed often the past few weeks. Coverboy and I talked last week about creating a thread together on this issue. The chain of events the last few days lit a fire under our asses to get it done.

I loved everyones statements, but I post my plays that I put in with either my local or a sportsbook!! What would I say if my top play of $4000 was a 4* or a 40* and my $500 play a 5* or .05*!! I post exactly my bets every night, and I'm sure all the people who follow me don't bet my $$$. Maybe my plays!! I send Marty my plays everyday on an email and I talk to him when I get home from work. He plays my POD almost everynight and for $5 to $50, because that's all he can afford. And it makes me feel happy when I can make him $100 in a weeks time!!

You have a basic feel what your unit wager is. If your unit wager is $1000 then post a $4000 play as a 4*.

yep last night wager was the biggest for me 35 bucks layed 52.15 thanks chuck i have been winning.
and a few others have help out 2 homer and wisemen thanks fellas my account is almost 2oo and looking good

I keep my system real simple. I rate all my plays 1 unit to 10 unit. All units represent "to win" ie. 1 unit play would be 110 to win 100 based on 10% vig. I dont post MLB plays because I follow only. I only post plays that I actually bet. I'll offer an opinion on anything but as far as plays go. I'm a football and hoops guy. Thats where I try to focus. Once my NBA plays started going in the tank I stopped betting NBA. As for now I only bet between $20-$100 total per day on MLB. I dont count these plays for or against my record because I dont post the plays and 99% are other members plays here that I'm coattailing.

I could post MLB,horses,NBA,tennis,golf or whatever just to post plays but if i'm not betting the plays whats the point? I joke around alot on this forum but the bottom line is come Aug. I'll be 100% ready to rebound from my worst NFL season ever. I will keep a record of all picks made for the year. I have no problem with that

As you all know i never give my plays a rating system.. I personally dont believe in them cause i see most of everyone's 1* hit more times than 10*s..(Hold on phone call)

Nothing against you, my troubled Capper Member, who I believe knows he erred, and also knows, we are a forgiving/fair/compassionate/loving group, therefore; good things will come out of this...Like the Thread started by Coverboy(the one we're in now)...Thats a sign of maturity, learn from mistakes, share with other, and we all benefit..

Lot more class than demoralizing/cutting down'/making fun of a person when they're down....Everything happens for a reason, thats where MATURITY comes in and determines what effect it will have on you..

mistakes are one thing, deception is another. i and i think most members dont think for one second rj made those bets. i was just busting his chops with that thread. where were you when rj was making coments about me and my family months ago? his antics have goten a pass for a long time. mod's said they have had many e-mails regarding his antics.

The real problem is that those posting that they bet $10,000 on a game, are probally better able to survive a $10,000 loss, than someone who plays and loses $100. There are people who can lose a ten dime bet and not even blink. There are also people here who could be hurt a lot more than the person playing $10,000, just making and losing a $100 bet. Everything needs to be put in perspective. The hundred dollar player may need your concern and good luck posts more than the ten dime player, but we all know which threads get the most attention.

There are people who can lose a ten dime bet and not even blink. There are also people here who could be hurt a lot more than the person playing $10,000, just making and losing a $100 bet. Everything needs to be put in perspective. The hundred dollar player may need your concern and good luck posts more than the ten dime player, but we all know which threads get the most attention.

That is the main purpose of this thread. The $100 will be influenced by a dime player and bet well beyond his means. The original poster often responds "I dindt put a gun to his head to bet". While that is true it is the opinion of many that members have a certail amount of responsibility to others.

It gets REAL old sometimes and it's easy for people to say just ignore it or why let it bother you but it's been going on for over a year now. Husker is right, he maybe should not of said it but nobody called RJ classless when he was ripping him or others with personal attacks. Why? Is it because he's their "Buddy"?

It's a double standard many times here and i think the "Buddies" are often blind to it.

I only see the surface...Was RJ right about his slamming of Husker..No...Was Husker right about that pungent/hateful remark regarding "Condo for Sale"...no...2 wrongs don't make a right...When a kid gets caught with his hand in a cookie Jar, he feels about 6" tall---he knows he was wrong....Its how you handle it..


I for one don't ignore wrongs, because they're my buddy...Lots of people wear the same size shoes...I for one, feel, that when a person is down...let him be...let him absorb his errs...Fess up..Face it---expect ramifications from it---we evaluate the sincerity of his acknoledgement---and accept or rejsect...

Is RJ's leash longer than others? Of course it is and it should. RJ has 6500 posts. Maybe 100 are negative. He contributes much more positive than negative. Some other members have less than 100 posts of which most are negative or solely looking for service shicks (shity picks).

Do the mods or members of BC want to tear down a solid contributor of BC? I certainly don't.

I don't say this because RJ is my buddy. I say it because it's life. RJ has earned his respect. He deserves respect. Thus his leash will be longer.
