Yeah , I do... well if you think that it's CUTE being Offensive to people , then blow me !!
And , we CAN LEAVE IT at THAT !
Jerk-off .... Friggin' Booty Banger
10 dime I'm sure you are just trying to be funny ...but, I'm really not finding your NEW BY-Line all that amusing NASCAR = . Some of us actually are NASCAR fans and find your by line offensive ... DO Us ALL A favor and Tone it down a bit !! Please DON'T DISRESPECT SOMETHING that you know LITTLE to NOTHING about !!
Why are you offended? I was a fan of NASCAR for a few years. I attended a handful of Daytona races. I don't consider myself white trash. I'm secure in myself to know who and what I am. The only things that usually offend people are the truth. Are you white thrash? If not then who gives a shit.
One does have to admit you do see some very strange people at NASCAR races.
Why do many NASCAR fans defend the sport by stating "DON'T DISRESPECT SOMETHING that you know LITTLE to NOTHING about"? What's to know?

How to drive? Your reasoning makes no sense. Most baseball fans have played baseball at some level. Same goes with football, basketball and hockey. The same is NOT true with auto racing.
Since you don't know how to drive a NASCAR auto what the fuck do you know? I guess since 99.999% of the NASCAR fans have never driven a NASCAR race car than 99.999% don't know shit about NASCAR racing.
Take any top athlete from the other major sports. Train them to race cars and give them Jeff Gordon's equipment and they'll have a high rate of success.
One of the greatest athletes of our time, Michael Jordan failed miserably in Single A baseball. I highly doubt any NASCAR drivers could succeed in the other sports at a high level.

Well put Frank, I still can't stop laughing everytime I read this tread!!! My neighbor races and has a loaded GTO he keeps in my garage. When he turns it on, the house feels like it's in an earthquake. I watch him race and only that I know him makes the race exciting for me to watch.

So true frank, and what gets me is these nascar fans think the drivers are athletes!! bwahahaha...
Oh Well ................ I like Nascar. I never cared about it either way until about 5 years ago. It's different for sure. I've heard many people make fun of it and that's o.k.
It doesn't have to be liked by somebody else to validate me liking it. I probably would have ALOT less interest in it if i didn't have wagers on it or have entries in a few racing pools. A high % of Nascar fans do have that "Redneck" look but to each their own. If they work for their money and buy their way into the track than good for them.
Yes, alot of the people at the track might look funny or have missing teeth but it really has no effect on me while watching a race. Their people too and they might not live my or your lifestyle but i don't really feel the need to judge them on looks either.
Athletes? Who knows i've heard and seen both debates but if it is covered on Espn and all sports sections of any newspaper regularly then i do believe it's a sport.
You can love it or you can hate it but degrading people who follow it really doesn't make sense to me. I don't like Star Wars and i see no benefit in degrading those that do.
It's just my opinion and the world has much bigger things to funnel your energy on than Nascar or the fans that follow it!
KB, what makes it untrue? I believe any person with some athletic ability could learn how to drive a race car. The sport's success is predicated on the amount of $$$$ the team has in its budget. Yes, some drivers have more ability than others.
Here's a perfect example. Mike Skinner has had very limited success in NASCAR Nextel racing. He's never won an official race. A few years ago using Dale Jarrett's car he won a race in Japan. Why? Equipment.
Mike Skinner is a personal friend of mine. He's an extremely talented golfer and one of the best pool players I've seen. The difference is the equipment and to a small degree talent.
A few years ago Jeff Gordon's team was torn apart. He lost his crew chief. His on track results suffered for a few years. What changed? The Driver's ability? NO. The car? Yes.
I don't believe there is a single NASCAR driver that could play any of the other major sports even with years of training.
I do believe with a sizeable amount of training, a good crew chief and a large budget anyone with athletic talent could succees at NASCAR racing.
