DONE gambling

took a huge hit today going 0-7, had a good week prior to today, and not to mention the hundreds of dollars i lost in poker. im just glad i took my hit wihile im young and the money is on a smaller scale. all in all gambling isn't worth it because everybody loses one time or another and it fucking sucks losing. so im hanging my hat up, and all of you should join me.

i am only 25. if you have good money management, you can do ok. i never expect to retire by doing this but you can make some extra change doing it. people that try to "hit big" are usually the ones that get hurt. hope you have lots of luck in your life.

Tony I agree with you on two points.

First, money management. Money management is as important as picking winners.

Second, if anyone is into sport betting to make a living you better have a healthy bankroll and a strong heart.

I do it for recreation first. Make some extra $$ second.

That's a tough run.... When you're going good you feel like it will go on like that forever, that's when you get slammed.... that happened to me lately in hoops..... a month's worth of nice profits vanished in a week and a half......
There are some very good cappers here.... they say they made a killing during baseball season (I wasn't here for that), hoops can be great and it can be brutal... whatever you do, Philly, take it slow, and I wish you best of luck!!!!

i have been betting since i was in college 20 years ago.....i have probably had 12 up years...5 down years and 3 about even...if you play disciplined and do not chase you will do okay....i have been guilty also of taking a shot here and there for 1-5K a game....most of those end up being a wash....
i have gone 9-23 as recent as december and did not know up from down...lost all confidence...best thing is to take a month, take a breath, create a plan, stick to it and forge ahead...also remember to take profits off the table....i have a set total above my roll that i always take profits from.....what sense is it to play if you can not enjoy the fruits of your labor??
