I live here in Vegas and have for 8 years now. Let me tell you something about tourist chicks, most of them are straight up stupid. I have been Bon Jovi, Mathew Nelson, The drummer from the Goo-Goo Dolls, and the owner of the Harley Davidson Cafe and the star of the Chippendales. If you can put on your best poker face, this town can offer you tons. These days, I enjoy the outdoor life and off strip places much more.

clubs--->ok, now you have given me a little more to work with.......ridiculous that i forgot about the hard rock, have to go there....i think the club "babies" is a bit overrated but heard they have a new one........irregardless, you must spend some quality time just drinking at the center bar at the hard rock, so many hot chiks there........if you have a hook up at rum jungle, go there for sure.....zillions of hotties there and just like studio 54, they are swiniging from the roof all night long (literally).plus, the house of blues is a good place to go after rum jungle to hang out ........downtown, the rio club is good and although a lot of people will tell you that you must go to the 'ghost bar' and 'rain' inside the palms, always remember my advice on waiting in line, go to front and give bouncer $$ or do not wait in line.......there are plenty of things to do in vegas, you do not need to wait an hour in line for anything

beaches-->mandalay bay, hard rock, mgm , mirage pools are all awesome, just sit there and watch the hotties wearing nothing serve up the hard alcohol all day long

sportsbooks--->truthfully, if you have time, go to everyone on the strip (except mgm grand, it sucks) because we all like different stuff when it comes to sportsbooks...i love playing horses out there......personally, i am still a bit old school and like the Imperial palace sportsbook where they hand write the lines, but mirage, caesars are my 2 favs..bellagio, manadalay bay also good sbooks....

drinks--->obviously you want to get as drunk as you can on the free stuff, they will always give you free alcohol when you are at the tables.....they used to give you free drinks while you are sitting in the sportsbooks, now some still do, but others will give you drink tickets each time you make a bet which will more than suffice as long as you bet even a little bit on the games or horses (or dogs).....it gets expensive drinking in the clubs but obviously when you are there, you are gonna drink

also, brady's advice is good too, although i try not to give gambling advice when people are out there because we are all so different, you DO NOT WANT TO BE BROKE and have 2 days left........pace yourself gambling wise and do not get too excited or too upset whatever you do the first night, you can have so much fun in vegas when you are not gambling!!!!

and although i respect your "no hooker needed" attitude, wait until the first time you are shit-ass drunk at 3 a.m. and a cute one comes and talks to you, it is a reality check...especially when you are too drunk to know whether it is a hooker or a legit girl........hint-->and female's cell phone ringing every 2 seconds means it is a hooker and their pimp wants to know where they are.......i will not go in to personal vegas experiences but i cannot say there have never been some funny hooker moments, i digress

downtown gaming is great if you are a tables guy.....sportsbooks are much better on the strip.....

Aplous, Was just there Dec 18-22. You are in the right place for your age. When I was there the town was dead, but NY NY was jumping. No need to go to the Tropicana cattycorner from you. Nothing there but old people and a run down casino. The only reason they are still there is because of the close proximity to MGM, Excaliber, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay. Luxor has a great breakfast buffet for 12 or 13 bucks. Take the tram to see Mandalay Bay. Luxor to me is so so as a casino goes. You will get lost in both of them and will have to ask for a way out, because they design these things like that, but no biggee. Watch your money as everyone has suggested. If you have to play the tables or slots, go downtown, or someplace off the strip. Remember this, Vegas wouldn,t be around if it weren,t for the slots. Check the lines out at all the strips for Basketball. Excaliber has a tendency to not move their lines as fast as the other books, they are right across the street from you. And by all means have a great time. It is always exciting to go the first time. I still remember mine back in 1967.

All of the Fellas hit many nails on the head...I just went out there to play softball in December and had a very good time...My Mom also lives out there so I always have an excuse to visit (Not that anyone really needs one)... I am sure everyone has their favorites and most aren't bad but when you get to 'Strip Club Night', I can personally tell you that I had a good time at 'Cheetah's' when I went there and it was only $10 to get in...Some of my teammates went to 'Olympic Gardens' and swear by the place...I'm sure some of the locals know many more places than I do but I thought I'd throw my two cents in...Either way, you'll have a great time...Good Luck out there!!!...

Does anyone know of a good place on the strip that has $5 craps with major odds? I usually stay down at Binions - but I am staying at the Tropicana - not use to gambling down there.
