Finally Going To Vegas!!!!

apolus, not sure what you mean by you want to go to the beach, vegas is land-locked and its a fricking desert, but the mandalay bay has all the makings of a beach in the pools, hot girls in skimpy bathing suits,
Downtown is old, dirty, and dead, but its true about the cheap gambling, single deck black jack at binions i believe. Also if you want entertainment for free its not very good, don't waste your time at treasure island (it sucks) the fountains are ok, and if your going downtown be sure to check out the light show, its pretty cool the first time.

If all 6 of you are together and want to ride in a taxi to go to a strip club, split up 3 and 3 and make a deal with the cabbie for a free ride, knowing that he will get a kickback from the club. Most will agree and you save the cab fare.

bearman is correct. the cabbies get your cover kicked back to them...thats right the cab driver gets 20 bucks per joe schmoe he drops at the pig fest. speaking of coke sniffing, weed smoking, meth feening, depressed, 3 kid having, 18 year old boyfriend playing playstation all day lovin slobs there should be a new place opening up and when that happens all of the sharks circle to the new joint. its called SIN and should be near your hotel (i think its behind mandalay bizzay).

buffets for breakfast for sure, you will find a decent meal anywhere you go after breakfast. clubs to look at will be tangerine at treasure island, taboo (mgm), there is also a new club a caesars. enjoy.

good advice here is if you are going to buy yourself a drink go to a bar that has video poker and ask for a drink and a roll of quarters put a couple quarters in while you wait for your drink and then tip and get up cheaper than paying $3.00

Guy- need help. I go to Vegas every year for the 1st weekend of March Madness. 9th straight year. I have stayed a few places but for the last 4, only at thge Stardust. We have grown wewary of the "blue hairs" at the tables even though it is so easy to watch the games there. What sportsbook is the best to get seats to watch the games? It's always so crowded and we are basketball junkies who watch EVERY game! HELP- looking to move up in the world but still be able to get seats in the book.

i would say for march madness they will all be great. if you want old school got to the hilton. nice and spacious...new school i would say caesars, mandalay, or bellagio

I`ve been living here in LV for about 6 years now,...My daughter goes to Bradley U in Peoria, IL and on her Christmas break my sister and I took her to Hard Rock Cafe...Great place for 20s-30s crowd, and it`s right next to the strip (on Paradise+Flamingo)..Also they have the `strip` tram running now which runs the length of the strip from the Luxor down to Sahara...you can get an all day ticket for $10...otherwise you`ll be walking your butts off...Good sports books I`ve found are Caesars and Stardust...There is a dinky little place called the Casino Royale (next to IP)which has $1 draft beer...I`d also go down to Fremont St,,,They have places that have $1 dogs and and huge plates of nochos with chile /cheese plus $1 beers...(Mermaids, Mardi Gras) and you can take them with you and drink `em right on the street(the only place it`s legal)...plus they always have a band or something going on...There is also a topless bar there called Glitter Gulch that charges no cover, and the drinks are reasonable....Thats about it....Hope you have a good time, and GL today
