Just when you think either of these two teams is going to do something, they turn around and do the opposite. The Tigers had lost 7 of 8 games and looked to be starting a downward spiral, when out of nowhere they win three straight all on the road. The Halos who have crawled back into contention in the AL West, having won 7 of 9, turn around and lose 3 of 4 at home.
Today is a good day to back the OVER in Anaheim. Both teams have several in-season angles that follow this path.
> Tigers are 8-2 OVER after 3 or more consecutive wins this season.
> Tigers are is 11-3 OVER in road games vs. a good bullpen whose ERA is 3.75 or better this year.
> Halos are 14-4 OVER when playing on Saturday this season.
Both pitchers have rotten history's against the opposing teams, with ERA's at 5 and beyond. Detroit is averaging 6 RPG in their last seven games, while the Halos have whipped up on LH pitching with a 24-13 record and have scored 5.5 RPG.
