Dave. What you are saying used to hold true a lot more in the past. The problem now is dumb managers thinking they have to justify having a closer by pulling a starter who is doing great thru 8 and the closer blows the save in the 9th. This has happened way too many times this year. I assume if you take into consideration which teams don't blow saves before making your play, then that is why you are 16-1. If you bet on Hudson for example, it would be different. In any event, your record speaks for itself. Good Luck.

4-1 in bases...much more careful in bases for the very reasons you mention...

but you can still be selective enough in the right situation... to beat it ...
