This is a small number considering how bad the Expos are on the road this year. Montreal is 9-21 on the road this year. Royals are a .500 team at home which isn't too bad considering their disappointing year. Lefty Reyes goes for the Royals. He has pitched very well as the Royals are 3-1 in his last four starts. The Expos can't hit lefties. Their average this year is in the .215 range against the lefty starter. Royals are playing a little better.

Mike Rose has Pistons

2* DETROIT (-1) VS. LA LAKERS -- 9:05 EST

Very interesting start we've had to this year's Finals as the Pistons were 3.6 seconds away from coming back home with a gigantic edge. They missed out on getting a stranglehold of the series due to Kobe's heroics, but I still foresee them being very much in this battle. Just looking over the first two games of the series, you still have to give the edge to Detroit even though the series is knotted up at a game apiece. They're forcing LA to play their style of ball, and they've rattled the Lakers offense with their "D". LA is a two man team, albeit two superstars, but the Pistons are the better overall team. Detroit got a huge contribution from Chauncey Billups on the West Coast, so hopefully he'll bring his confidence back with him tonight. Rip Hamilton has had an atrocious series from the field thus far, and you know he'll shoot much better in the Palace. Also, looking at second half adjustments. The Pistons have outscored the Lakers in the second half of both games, 47-34 in Game 1 & 53-45 in regulation of Game 2. That speaks volumes, and it just goes to show how well of a handle HC Brown and his staff has on this series. Game 3 looks to be a must win for both teams. The Pistons don't want to lose the home court advantage they earned with the split, and the Lakers want to win one on the road ASAP to assure themselves of a trip back home. Many might think this is easy money backing the Lakers in this spot, but I beg to differ. This is a team that's a whopping 3-5 SU on the road in the playoffs this year. They were able to outlast Minny in Game 1 of their series after the Wolves fought Sacramento for 7 Games on one days rest, and they had that gift win in SA with Fisher's heroics. This is not a Laker team of old, and they'll get beat up tonight by a stark raving mad Pistons squad in front of the Palace faithful.
