NoSweatBets - Thoughts, Analysis, and Record For This Week
Hey guys,
I'm not really sure what to say about this week. The morning started off excellent with great caps on both Clemson, Pittsburgh, and East Carolina. Taking East Carolina 1H, ML, Game and (NC State 2nd Half = though loss, smart to hedge) worked out well. The Illinois game turned out to be a wash because I took the ML (Illinois) + 1H (Illinois) + 2H (Michigan State) + Game (Illinois). With the proper hedging, everything washed out. I'm completely shocked about the Texas Tech bloodbath. I took Texas Tech on the 2nd half too (not sure if that was proper discipline) and that got destroyed. That game hurt a lot to day. On the contrary, the Texas game couldn't have worked any better. Taking Texas 1H, Texas
ML, and Texas Game with Nebraska -7 (2H) worked perfectly. We got the push on the 2nd Half with Nebraska, and won all Texas bets. That play alone made me up for the day. The Michigan 2nd half also worked, which was a nice little hit. The Miami/Duke Over 25 was a huge disappointment. 21 points in the 3rd quarter, yet we couldn't score 4 points in the 4th. That hurt. Also, the Arkansas 2nd half was very disgusting. That set me back a few units. I don't think I ever saw a team score 28 points that fast in my life in the 4th quarter. The Virginia game was a complete bloodbath for me. I had Virginia 1H, Virginia Game, and Virginia ML. That really hurt my profits for the day. I made some of it back with Kentucky +5.5 for the game and was lucky enough not to take Kentucky for the 1H. Going into the late game, I still could have a good day if UDubb covered. That was one of the worse games I've witnessed. That was a horrible beat on UDubb -2, which set me back a good amount of units for the night. Nonetheless, I still made some money today, but nothing like it could have been. With my Top Bets going 1-4, I'm very happy to walk away in the green. I've tallied up all the games for the day, (not including the 2nd halves due to a lot of them were hedge opportunities) and it looks like the computers were slightly above 50 percent today.
I do have some interesting notes. The ratings of 2 I use are games I like, but I don't see a significant edge in playing due to my computers. These games worked out very well this week though, hitting a strong 60.7 percent. I tend not to bet on them due to the fact that it is just my personal opinion. Nonetheless, it would have made money this week, but I will continue to track it for the year. What saved me for the day was the Ratings of 3. Those hit at 83.3 percent which is very solid. Overall, there was not much variance between all games Spreads (52 percent hit) and Totals (51 percent hit).
No Sweat Rating 5: 1-2
No Sweat Rating 4: 0-2
No Sweat Rating 3: 5-1
No Sweat Rating 2: 17-11
No Sweat Rating 1: 28-32-3
No Sweat Rating Overall: 51-48-3
No Sweat Rating Spreads: 26-24-1
No Sweat Rating Totals: 25-24-2
Well, I'll be back next week for the same thing. I will also be capping NFL tomorrow, where I use roughly the same system, so please check my thread on that. Guys, I'm crunching numbers all day. I would love to have some feedback on what you guys think. Thanks and best of luck for tomorrow.

My whole basis on the amount of play is the folllowing: Let's say you can cap 60 percent. You will win a lot more money in the long run going 12-8 instead of 6-4. Or think about 120-80 instead of 60-40. The more plays, the better in the long run. Therefore, that is why I usually always take not only the Game, but the 1H. Better odds in the long run.
