Now, I didn't see the game, but I'm pretty sure Lebron wasn't the only guy that didn't shake someones hand.
Like the NFL, in the NBA players often linger after the game.

Lebron was RIPPED ALL DAY on national sports radio shows that i listened to today for walking away from the Magic and the post game press conference.

They made some great points that others in here seemed to miss. Not only do NBA players usually meet on the court after a playoff series to give congrats or shake hands, football players do after a game, golfers do it after 18 holes with their playing partner, NHL players do it after a series, Tennis players meet at the net and shake hands and even boxers do it after a match and after an ass kicking. It is done way more than some of you think but i guess King James was too good for that.

He says in his press conference yesterday that he doesn't feel right giving congrats after he loses. It is funny how he stood there and let the two teams he swept come up and shake his hand. He had no problem with that.

You are a sore loser LBJ. You have a life that 99.9% of people in this world can only dream about and that really knocked him down on the respect levels a notch with me. I never thought he of all people would act like a baby but he did.

Is it just me or is this the first thing this guy has ever done wrong?? For such a young kid he has handled himself perfectly in the league until now. Never saying the wrong thing, never a cheap foul, not one enemy or hated by one person in the league. Until now, he has been a class act, and a model of what the NBA should stand for.

This is the first time he has ever screwed up. It was a bad move out of frustration, cut him a break, IMO, everyone should get one mistake, and this is his first, and let's be honest, it's not the crime of the century. Lebron is still a good dude in my mind. There are a lot more classless guys in the league to be focused on.

Everyone has a 1st time mavs. According to ESPN, he did it last year against Boston too. I guess this makes it the 2nd time. Not bad but we'll see if he continues to act like a King or not.

Seems like a classy dude to me, storming off a couple times isn't the worst thing in the world.

The media had their field day with it, and they got to talk about Bron for one more day. All over and forgotten now, and IMO one of the class guys in the NBA.

I agree but if other guys in other sports do it, they get ripped so Lebron should too. Lebron should have been at that press conference. He is clearly the leader of that team and the league. He needs to be there when they win and especially when they lose. He doesn't want to continue with the premadonna stuff because people will not like him as much as they do now. It is not a good rep to have.

Of course its not a good rep to have. This was a slip-up, a mistake, he's a great guy. He's been in the media spotlight since he was nineteen years old, and he has handled every interview, every game, every bad year and every good one with the utmost maturity and sportsmanship. He fucked up, I think people need to cut him a break. He's done a lot of good for the league. If this is the first big thing he's done wrong, and I use the word "big" generously, than it's all good in my book.

I also think people need to realize that this was a move out of frustration. He was not walking off the court thinking "screw the Magic", he was upset because he lost, and let his emotions get the best of him, just as everyone does from time to time. It was also, IMO, a statement to his FO how pissed off he is. Storming off was more of a "I'm tired of losing" action.

mavs, EVERYBODY is upset when they lose, especially in the Conference Finals. Yes, he lost but it's no excuse. They said he had time to shower and cool down, why not go to that press conference? The coach and Mo Williams was there and they had to sit and answer questions about why and where Lebron was. You just don't do that or put them in that position. Do your duties and move on.

You and the media are blowing this up into epic proportions. It was a mistake, a simple mistake. Five years of service to the NBA, and before this he has been the greatest guy ever. He plays the game and acts appropriately after every game, in every news conference, he does everything right for five years. And apparently this means nothing.

What, now one mistake and he's an asshole? Five years, and has been in a league of men since he was nineteen. He has one mistake in five years?

And LOL at "putting Mo Williams in that situation." The guy who puts the weight on his teammates by guarunteeing victory, and then doesn't show up himself.

IMO he's been cut lots of slack here. There's not a lot of outrage. Most others would have been chewed up and spit out.

Nothing pisses me off more than to see an NFL player on a team I root for yucking it up on the field after a loss. I want him to be as miserable as I am and not say a peep to anyone!

BINGO 3J, being emotional after a loss like this is a good thing once in a while. Not all the time, once in a while. And making sure the other team knows it is not a shot at hem, like LeBron did, but letting everyone knows "I don't like to lose, period."
