I think most understand what was meant here.
Of course people like some games more than others.
That's when you see - 1 unit - 2 unit - 3 unit ..etc...

The ones that i find to be completely ridiculous are
the ones that go from 5 unit to 10 unit to 20 unit to 50 unit

it's just laughable to me

This I agree with. All my games are rated 1-4 units.

Allowing somebody to go to 5000 simply means they have to make sure each bet is bigger than the last and they will be "up" units
