I agree, if a game is worth wagering money on it, you should wager on it. I have a hard time believing a person can like some games more than others. Also if you notice, the people who wager more than single units are just like services, if the 2* plays are winning better than the 10*, they will hipe them. Also as I've stated in the past, record keeping should be done in your post, not your signature or records forum. It takes less time to cut, paste and update your record in your post than changing your signature or going to the records forum to update it there. It is also easier to check back and find errors in ones record.

Classic bullshit - isn't it? They try so hard to look so good.
("i'm glad i doubled my 'units' on the late game")

Actually i think some people do, i'm sure most of us have done it. (bet more late)
But the problem is, do they really expect everyone to just follow their lead. (NOT!)

They post a 12:00 game for 5 units - LOSER
They post a 4:00 game for 10 units - LOSER
They post a 8:00 game for 20 units - WINNER

then they say, "hey, WE did alright today fellas, WE won a few units".
        It's just fuckin laughable -

They should just make a post saying -
"ok guys, after ANY loss just double up until WE win one".

Then you have the guys that post 15 games - rated different units.

Anyone following (i'm sure) will just play the higher unit games.
But if all the higher unit games lose, the poster can still (possibly) show a profit.
I can not believe that they actually expect people to play every fuckin game they post.

The other side of the coin is -
Any poster can go (40-10) and STILL LOSE MONEY !!!
They can win (40) 2* plays and lose just (10) 10* plays and LOSE.
When that happens you'll usually see them STOP talking about units
and just mention their awesome (40-10) record to appear to be a god.

(it's comedy hour at it's finest)

How about mind your own business and let the mods do what they do best? They seem to be on top of these things waaaaaay more than either of you. It isn't your site and no one needs a gambling know-it-all or internet police or newbie protector or whatever else you want to call yourself, poking your nose in other people's business to cloak feeding your own egos.

I like using Units. I don't chase with them and my structure has been the same for many years with basically 2 plays, Big & small. Some like to do it and vary their amounts and some don't. To each their own really. When i see alot of games, it is hard for me not to like some alot more than others. I usually have games with "No opinion", games i "Like" and games i "Love". I scratch the no opinions and sometimes i scratch the likes too but when i choose to play them all, i can't put the same on a game i love as i do on a game i like. I never go crazy and i always put the same amount on games i love and a smaller but same amount on all the games i like.

The key is and always will be money management. If you love a game, don't go crazy or empty the bankroll. Simply put a price on games loved and a price on games liked. If you stick to that religiously, it is step 1 in the process of making no more deposits, playing with house money and collecting once in a while.

Believe it. Last night was a perfect example. I loved Portland in the NBA and i liked Boston. I only played 4 games last night and on a small card i decided to just play them equally. If i would have played it like i wanted to with a buck on Portland and 50 on Boston, it would have been a 5 and 3 unit play and a profit at the end of the night. I didn't do that and i knew it was a mistake right when i did it. Now yes, that can happen both ways but from my own experience, i always love a game for good reason and i always like a game for good reason. The games i like have 1 or 2 things that don't match up well for me and usually, in the long run, my loved games always do better than the ones i liked. JMO

So you want me to say how much money I bet???

                              No way.

                              I'm sticking to "units."

I think most understand what was meant here.
Of course people like some games more than others.
                                That's when you see - 1 unit - 2 unit - 3 unit ..etc...

The ones that i find to be completely ridiculous are
the ones that go from 5 unit to 10 unit to 20 unit to 50 unit

                                it's just laughable to me

a good example of "normal" / 'believable' unit posting is (here)

to each their own - good luck on the games
