I think he'd be a great fit for a program like that. The Vols would dish out some big bucks for a big name D-Coordinator and let Leach handle the offense. Only problem he has is not kissing the alums ass, that's not his style And something he would have to do at a high profile job like that imo. I don't think he's looking, but if Tenn came calling, how could you turn down the Vols over Tex Tech?

        Coach Swap

How about Fulmer to Auburn & Tuberville to Tn. We need both to stay in the SEC.

I know Tennessee fans hate him.....but this might not be good for them.

Tennessee's problem is that they are in the SEC.

Tennessee would WIN the ACC or Conf USA and maybe the Big East.

The program is in bad shape only in the context of a very strong SEC.

That being said, what is doing him in is the emergence of Vanderbilt as a decent team. Tennessee fans expect their team to be the best in the state BY FAR and it no longer is.

My guess as a candidate may be David Cutcliffe who has a banground there and is doing a brilliant job at Duke.

If they want to go younger they could make a run for Fitzgerald of Northwestern (I thought he'd be awful, he isn't)

How long before Fresno finally gets rid of Pat Hill????

Has anyone ever done less with more?

gris,i value your capping skills immensely but this is one time i am in strong disagreement with you,the big end of those players come from a recruiting class listed 5th in the nation,in the last 10 years, there have been many numerous times where the talent level was just as strong, yet they don't produce on the field-what good is talent if the coach does not utilize it,if you had given spurrier the same talent tenn has had the last 15 years,i bet they would have more than one national championship !!

would love to have him kaptolie and his hometown is close to knoxville, but i believe the alumni harbor to much resentment over all those years he whipped up on us when he was with florida.

Tubby next!!!! Never liked him anyway. Word is that Clemson has already offered the job to him but is waiting to see if he can beat Bama for the 7th year straight and see what Auburn will do.

Word in Big 10 country is that Tenn. may also be looking at Punky from Minnesota. Any word from that area on how that looks?

2 totaly different styles of football IMO.Nick Saban worked out pretty good because of hie defensive knowledge and the group of athletes he recruited but for the most part I don't think Big 10 Coaches would have as much success in the SEC.

volsfan, lane kiffin.former oakland coach is at the head of the pack and they are also looking at a real good recruiter from michigan i believe, with a name like brahmer, some of you guys from the michigan area may be able to help me with that name ? but this comes from a real good source volsfan, also they are hiring an independent company from colo. to do the footwork on finding the coach so it does not disrupt the rest of the season !!
