I agree with you. I'd take both Kobe and Lebron over Pippen. Any day of the week.

The part I don't agree is taking either of those players over Jordan. I'd take Jordan over both Kobe and Lebron. I'll reserve judgment on Lebron. He's still early in his career. Contrary to my previous opinions when his career is done he might prove to be the greatest.

That's why I left Pippen out. The way I interpreted your sentence was you'd take both Kobe and Lebron over both MJ and Pippen.

I agree Lebron hit some pretty clutch 3 pointers in the Olympics.

I've always been a Duncan fan. Tim Duncan didn't sweep Lebron. The Spurs swept the Cavs. Winning 4 titles doesn't make you the best player. Is Tony Parker the best point guard in the NBA because his Spurs won 4 titles.

Is Eli the best NFL QB because the Giants won the Superbowl. There's a HUGE difference between being the best team and the best player.

BTW Duncan was on the 2004 Olympic team. There's reasons why we wasn't invited to return.

So if Tim Duncan goes and plays for the Bobcats is he still the best player in the league?

No frank, MJ is my favorite basketball player of all time. He is the reason why i like UNC in Hoops and have been to Chapel Hill. I'll never see another player close to Jordan. What i was saying is, in a game of 2 on 2 (like mentioned), i think Kobe and Lebron could beat Jordan and Pippen. Not because of MJ, but because of Pippen. I feel like Pippen is one of the most overrated NBA players in history. Jordan made him and made him look good and i'll believe that 'til the day i die. As great as Jordan is, i don't think he could make up for Pippen enough to beat Kobe and Lebron on his own. They might win but it would be tough with that overrated Pipster!

Isiah shouldve been on the team but Jordan said he didnt want him there and that was that......Isiah was a better player than Stockton.

I agree with Jugo, the talent in the world has caught up nicely in the past 16 years so you cant compare margin of winning anymore....that Spain team had 4 players minimum who could start on NBA teams.

I still think Jordan was the greatest player I ever saw play but at the same point in their career I think Lebron is much better and when it is all said and done Lebron will be the greatest player of all time.

Lebron today is the greatest player on earth and its not even close......Lebron nearly beat Boston by himself......Kobe had much better teammates then Lebron and the Lakers got destroyed.

Replace Kobe with Lebron and the Lakers would be the champs for many years to come.....Lebron will win at least 3 titles before its all said and done and probably many more if he gets surrounded with any capable talent. JMO

Absolutely. If Duncan was to go to Charlotte, the Bobcats would be in the playoffs and go deep into them.

I will say this. It's a 2 on 2 match up I'd LOVE to watch. Once again, I agree both Kobe and Lebron are much better than Pippen. I'm not ready to concede the game to Kobe/Lebron. Pippen was a great defender. Is he great enough to slow James?

I believe MJ can somewhat neutralize Kobe. I don't believe Kobe can slow MJ. The match would come down to how much can Pippen contain James?

IMO this is laughable. Bobcats would make the playoffs in a very week East. I doubt they'd get past the first round.

If Duncan is the best player in the NBA then why did they lose to the Lakers in the West conference finals? Using your reasoning they should have beaten the Lakers.

They do doubles in tennis and volleyball and probably other stuff that i can't think of. It would be awesome to see a 2 on 2 event in the Olympics for Hoops. Teams from different countries. The Usa could probably send a few teams and guys all choose their partners. I bet that would be alot of fun to watch and i'm thinking we could probably steal the Gold, Silver and Bronze. Can you imagine how interesting that would be to see 2 man teams going at it?

They blew 2 games when they had 20 point leads in them. Also the Spurs had a few injuries and fell just a little short. Still you cannot discount the 4 titles from 99' to 07'. That is pretty damn good by any measure.
