I love Texas Tech's offense. It is College and who cares about defense. What does it get Ohio St in the big game besides nothing. If you have a high powered offense, you can simply outscore people in College. Look at Boise St for example. You may not win the Title but 10 wins is very possible and they could scare the hell out of OU imo. That is probably the Sooners scariest game on the schedule imo but i do like the Sooners chances this year.

At least the Tech game is in Norman. If it were in Lubbock, it would scare the hell out of me too, Wayne.

Ask 99' Florida State if they care about defense

Give me a great defense over a great offense any day.

I agree if it was the NFL. When was the last BCS title game that was won by defense? The scores are extremely high usually and the BCS games are usually won by the better offense, not defense. That is why OU has struggled in Bowls lately. Great defense's are good to get you there but the offense has to show up to win it. We'll see but Tech is going to be VERY tough to stop all year.

If we are debating whether or not T.T. is going to win the Title, that debate was over before it started. Those top teams on offense were scary for most opponents last year and most were bowl teams. The Top teams on defense had a great mix of both, offense and defense. They are also CFB Powerhouses. My point is that T.T. shouldn't be an easy win for ANYONE. Boise St wasn't a jab at you as an example, it just happened to be the lesser viewed team of late that showed a great offense can surprise anyone. College is a far cry from the 70's. 80's and 90's when there were very dominant teams at the top. The smaller schools are stepping up just like in CBB and nothing is easy anymore. I could not believe the upsets last year. Week after week, i was shocked at scores. It was a crazy, crazy year and who knows what this year will bring. Texas Tech has Won 2 of the last 3 games against OU too. They may have both been on the road but even at home, OU won that game by 10 in a close one. This team (TT) has played OU very tough in recent years and they should have a solid team this year. I'm not saying to "Be afraid" but there is no doubt in my mind that Texas Tech will be one of the few hurdles OU has this season.

kb, serious question. Have you seen the T.T. schedule? It is awful ..... awful BAD!

If they ever found a way to Beat Texas at home (Very possible), their only stumbling block would be OU. They could be and should be, two very highly ranked teams when they meet.

I agree they will be good but they will not win the national title because they will lose to Missouri and Oklahoma...SEC will still be the best.

Yes, there is no doubt about it. I think they lose @ Kansas and maybe Kansas State though. They always lose a game or 2 each year cause of their defense and I don't see anything changing this year. I hear all this talk around here about how good their defense is supposed to be, but I just don't see it. They were ranked in the mid 50's last year and return 8 guys and added a few juco's. I don't see how this jumps them up to a top 20 defense. The way they press on offense leaves their defense out there too long to shut anyone down. I'm just not sold I guess
