Gallagher is decent, very young...should be ok.

Patterson is I think the gem in the deal. Can really be a good leadoff hitter with some pop if need be.

Murton needed a change of scenery. Could be a decent power hitter.

Why doesn't Oakland ever keep players and go for a title. They are not that far out right now. I would be depressed every year watching them. Yes, they make great trades but what ever comes of it???

A's haven't recovered since blowing the 2-0 playoff lead against the Yankees, then losing Giambi to NY.
But I don't think they really were that close this year. Besides eric chavez, do they have a single player in their lineup that someone else would want? .....actuallly as a Dodgers fan I wouldn't mind seeing what Bobby Crosby can do in LA if the price isn't too steep.
