Hey, We all have different opinions on the draft and many love Augustin and Bayless. I wasn't a big Bayless fan but i for one loved Augustin and i think he could have been a perfect fit to run with them in Golden St. Ellis could have stayed at the 2 and who knows, it could have been a great Guard combo for the next 10 years. Then, they would have still had money to make a run at Posey for D or someone like Smith. I'm also not nearly as sold on Randolph as you are so to each their own i guess but they could have tried to move up in the draft if they had known. Best available yes, maybe, if they sit there and do nothing like they did. I would also take Augustin anyday over bums like Arroyo and JWill. Augustin would have fit nicely with that young nucleus (IMO). Did you see him in Texas? Dude can play!!!!!

    I can't believe i'm talking Warriors hoops!

If they had Monta and Augustin at the PG and SG they'd get used on defense, they're both two short. I don't think they had a chance him anyway, right? I think the Warriors in a great position. Probably would've been better if Baron would've played one more year, but who knows maybe they'll get someone good this year instead of next year with the freed up money. They need more size. They'll still be exciting to watch next year.

Augustin played at a high profile College just like Paul at W.F. and D. Williams at Illinois and i think Augustin is every bit the player those guys were in College. My 2 favorite players in this draft were Rose & Augustin. I really believe they will be the next Paul and Williams (Both from the same draft). I think these PG's are taking over the game and getting one is priceless. You are right though, they probably would not have been able to move up 5 spots???

As far as height goes, i don't know. Chris Paul and Augustin are both listed at 6-0 so i don't take much from that anymore.

If Mullin had no plans at all for life without Davis this year then he sucks at doing his job. As soon as Baron said he'd like to be a Knick or play in his hometown then the possibility of him opting out became very realistic..At the 14th pick in the draft there was no available PG better than a free agent. Baron leaving will make this year tougher, but we weren't gonna win the trophy anyway so all this cap room can hopefully pan out into something.
          Great Day To Win

          MLB 2008 (19-23-1) +3.0 units

          NBA 08-09 (10-7) + 1.59 units

          GOY (4-1)

Why not move up in the draft and get a premier PG?

It has been said numerous times in the Warriors Organization that they would like Monta Ellis to run the point. Now is his opportunity.

I haven't seen the Warriors change their position in the draft since 1993 when we drafted Penny third and traded him for C-Webb...I don't think moving up in the draft is that easy, unless you want to give something up. I'm also not convinced any of these kids are blue chip pg's in the making (Eric Gordon might be), at least not any better than Monta will be. We need athletic size, it was available, so we took Randolph and we'll see how he develops 2-3 years from now.

The only reason they "got caught with their pants down" is because there was a team stupid enough (surprise...the LAC) to offer Baron 5 years. Mullin was smart to offer him only 2-3. He is always hurt and is getting old. The Warriors didnt make the playoffs this year with Baron, so they might as well be looking toward the future now. There is no way the Clips see the back end of that deal. Look, they're still the Clippers and will be with or without Brand.

I'd much prefer seeing Monta at the 2, but the Warriors might not have a chioce but to play him at 1 next year and maybe slide Bellinelli over to 2.
