This by no means is to take anything away from hima s the two putts he hit were unbelievable...but he also got some of the luckiest breaks of anyone out there. When was th elast time a player missed 5 straight fairways in the US Open and did not have 1 unplayable lie? And then the chip on 17?

            Great golfers get great breaks....

It is almost unwatchable to have fifteen camera angles of his knee, his grimaces (when he hits a bad shot).

The first eagle, he should have had no second shot to the green. 50 yards right, ges a drop away from the crane into the trampled down grass giving him a clean lie. Make no mistake, he takes advantage of his breaks but it does look like he is faking this limp a bit for effect. He has always done the dramatics when sand gets in his eye or something.

Personally, I am routing for Rocco Mediate. This guy has had major back surgery, many more injuries than Tiger. Dont see him acting like a cripple.

I like Tiger, respect Tiger, but Tiger 24-7 is getting to be too much anymore.

Tiger Woods IS the PGA. Look at the ratings when he is in a tournament and look at them when he isn't. It is a Elite event when he plays and it is a D List event when he doesn't. The kid is the biggest Phenom in golf history for what he has done at his age and as long as he is keeping golf on the front page of sports, the Networks are going to keep selling him. Sick of it or not, the guy has earned every bit of attention that he gets.

Wayne, I agree, he is the greatest golfer ever. I just think the media it is starting to go overboard with this knee thing. Guys play football a few weeks after being scoped.

Ben Hogan came back to win a few majors after having both legs crushed in a head on car accident. He could barely walk afterwards. Lets put this routine knee surgery in perspective.

The Spotlight, media exposure and pressure are not even comparable to when Hogan played though (IMO). You also can't compare injuries in other sports to each other. If you are off 1 inch with your golf game, it makes a difference in the swing. It is more of a precision sport than a physical one and you need your legs to convert that precision.

Do you think the "bloody sock" of Schilling was comparable to this??

People laugh at football players who do not play because of "Turf Toe" too. I used to be one of them yelling suck it up. Well, i had turf toe about 2 years ago and it made me want to cry every time i took a step on that foot. It was so painful. Now i know what it is and feels like. I do not laugh at turf toe anymore and i do not assume how athletes should deal with injuries much either. Every injury to each individual is different and Tiger Woods was in alot of pain today.
