  • Big Brown To Show Biggie

I have about $500 in my account and gonna let it ride on Big Brown to show.At the preakness he paid I think 2.40 2.60 2.40
so why would I want to bet him to finish first when I can get the same money for him to finish in the top 3.I know it might not seem like a good bet and risking alot to win a little but if Big Brown don't finish in the top 3 than I will just have to lose.

Has anyone ever seen a 2.10 2.10 2.10 at any track on any horse.I think it might happen in a couple of weeks?

So your not going to bet anything else for the next 2 and a 1/2 weeks.

Remember Chado's 5000 ML on the Pats, we all know how that ended

I still play with the local on Baseball and Basketball but might play some Nascar and then put some in if I need to before the Belmont.Big difference to me in $500 to $5,000.00 I know anything can happen and Chado took a pounding but seems like a easy way to make $100.

Yes, I've seen 2.10 2.10 2.10. If Brown wins I expect 2.20 2.10 2.10. With Casino Drive in the race I'd be surprised if BB goes off at 1/9. I expect 1/5 or 1/10.

I fully expect Big Brown to win. Let's see if he comes close to Secretariat's stakes record of 2:24.

How great was Secretariats performance? The closest any of the other Belmont Stakes winner would have finished is 10 lengths or 2 seconds behind Secretariat.

I don't see any horse better than him and damn sure don't see 3.Heading to New Smyrna a month from yesterday.Looking foward to trying ther Steakhouse you recommended.I'll be at the dog track a couple days so maybe we can get a beer and win some money.

On a $500 in most likelihood you'll win $25. I doubt the horse will pay 2.40 to show.

In my opinion the risk reward ratio is terrible.
I would rather bet a big favorite in baseball for a lousy $25 than to bet a horse with crappy odds like that;what happens if the horse gets injured(heaven forbid) or just has an offday?
ps I wouldn't bet it for to win $50 or $100 either especially if my overall funds were limited.jmho

Thats my point, why risk that kinda of money for 25 dollars. IMO, that is insane VF.

Too many horses get injured in a race and pull up, dont do it.

The other side of the coin is that just because it is a high profile horse race and on tv,, it doesn't meanyou have to bet it.
I bet you could find another race the same day at the same track or for that matter at that track or another track where you could risk considerably less to win $25 or conversely to win a lot more if you wanted heaven forbid to risk the entire $500 on one race.
