Chado---you get a hockey game tabbed as over 6.....and the score is 2-0....2 total goals scored.....or maybe 66 % off....
You get a NBA game tabbed at OVER 200, it would have to fall on about 70 total points to have same 5 differencial as HOCKEY............get real
I've seen some hockey games being 0-0 midway throught the last period, and both teams scored 3 apiece.....rigged....????
I also guess "walk off Home Runs" are riggged also.....
You constantly berate the NBA, accuse it of being rigged/fixed etc, yet you continue to whine about it, and still play it........
How long do you have to hold a piece of steel at 450 degrees Farenheit, and how many times, before you quit grabbing the damn thing........
Instead of griping/whining, shouting fixed, just lay off the damn things......
And also, everytime we have troubles here in the USA, you come in and say, I feel sorry for you USA citizens........etc etc
Still the best country in the world, bar none, including CANADA......

i really dont see the big deal first 3 qts in nba mean nothin really... especially when u playin one of worst teams like twolves... mavs are good u cant tell me they cant dominate a qtr especially when game was tied around then and shut down a garbage team when it countsedification will take place pull up the reins and get outta the race.Comment

dude chado I really dont understand all the hate towards the NBA? You constantly use the term Trash Sport when referring to the NBA, but wheres the trash? I agree that there are some shady refs that make questionable ass calls sometimes in basketball, just like we see in football, or an umpire that looks the other way on a 2 strike count
my point is this the NBA is a VERY VERY TALENTED LEAGUE...FAR FROM TRASH! For those that appreciate the sport for what it is they can agree with me that the talent level around the league is growing at a ridiculous pace. The game is played all over the world and the talent is just beginning to be showcased in the NBA.
And these players that I watch every night have nothing to do with point spreads and totals, vegas does though and have a pretty strong grip on the way they handicap NBA games.
It's a very difficult sport to handicap for mannnny reasons...
There is 6 games on the schedule tonight and im sure that 1 or 2 of them will be reallllly close to the spread and total ....just like in college hoops, just like in hockey and just like in football, thats what vegas does and they do it well...
but for your own benefit I say sit back, relax, take the game for what it is...a big complaint I hear about the NBA is that they dont play defense, well some guys you just cant stop!
I dont care who you have on your team there are just some guys that are going to get there shots anytime they want too...you can put your best lockdown on-ball defender on most of these guys in the NBA and it wont matter. how are you gonna stop dwight howard if your the chicago bulls? you cant! how are you gonna stop LebroN or Kobe or Chris Paul or Carmelo? you cant ! they are all that good and if you choose to double team or trap the oppositions best player then your really putting your defense at a disadvantage becuase 99% of the nba can make an open shot (excluding ben wallace)
anyway others have made the same points that im trying to make but im really getting annoyed seeing a new NBA is Garbage threads every week. shit happens in basketball just like every other sport that will fuck your over, your under, your home and your away pick just like in every sport thats just how it is....Comment

just last week toronto played orlando....chris bosh scored 40 against dwight howard- howard scored 37

like the famous sportscenter phrase goes "YOU CANT STOP HIM YOU CAN ONLY HOPE TO CONTAIN HIM!" well thats now being used for mannnny of these guys in the NBA...toronto shot 58% in that game, hit 11/20 3's to go with 22/25 free throws...what could orlando have done different ? who knows? all I know is that they had one of the biggest strongest most athletic centers in the game (dwight howard averaging 15 rebounds and 2.5 blocks this year) guarding someone smaller than him that he had no chance of stopping in that game....until they change the defensive rules allowing for more body contact the defenders are at a major disadvantage. just ask some of the raptors when kobe dropped 81 on them a couple years ago
