And I had no stake in it either, but for all the people out there that lost the over because of a low scoring 4th quarter, there are a bunch that won it because of it.

you are so off base w/ these anti nba threads every day.
these things you rip the nba for (fouling/not fouling at the end, scoring droughts, making/missing crucial FT's, teams throwing in a 3 ptr at the buzzer when the outcome is already decided, etc etc etc) happen just as much in college basketball as they do in the nba.
basketball is unique sport to wager on, and some people don't grasp it or know how to watch the game when the spread is involved.

Part of being one of the elite teams is that you can LOCK UP the softies in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line. Dallas can play D and Minn has no overwhelming scorer...Great Day To Win
MLB 2008 (19-23-1) +3.0 units
NBA 08-09 (10-7) + 1.59 units
GOY (4-1)

because people lose a lot of money at gambling.
the thing you don't get is that these things you point out happen in college hoops too. its not unique to the nba.

kind of ironic that people rip teams for not playing D, then call the nba trash when the mavs lock down in the 4th.
btw guys- there is a reason minnesota is 11-43

I agree with that. It is alot like the NBA All Star game. They go through the motions for 3 qtrs. and when the 4th comes and the win is on the line, they focus and usually the elite/better team prevails.

I go back and forth in thinking its rigged but the question you have to ask is this.....
IF it is rigged, do coaches tell their players DON'T score anymore? You think the players would listen and if so why haven't more of them spoken out because it would for sure leak all over...
HMMMMMMM another job for none other than? congress!!
I believe in games being 'rigged' but i just don't see how on such a large scale (every night) players would accept it...
