I agree with that. It is alot like the NBA All Star game. They go through the motions for 3 qtrs. and when the 4th comes and the win is on the line, they focus and usually the elite/better team prevails.

Its equivalent to a kneel down in football. Or a pitcher throwing straight fastball after straight fastball with a 9 run lead in the ninth. Dont see as many games end 12-1 as you do see them end 12-5. Why? because they let them hit it. Its like that in all sports. Except tennis maybe.

There has never been a player busted of fixing games in the NBA.......REFS are the ones that can fix it.

What they cannot fix is a team scoring 12 pts in a quarter. What, are they going to call travel every time down the floor?

ON A SIDE Note---> in chado's favour, did anyone see the end to the lakers game? Total is 201.5 at closing, suns at the line with 5 tics to go in game and pts are 200, they miss both ft's and the ref calls some blocking out foul on the rebound in a 20 pt game with 5 tics for no reason, lakers make 2 fts and game goes over by a half....THAT is shady

Ill tell you something that I watched today and I am near certain there was some sheisty shit going on with the 2h total and the way Alabama handled that endng today....if you want details check my thread out on page 2 of it......college is a very dirty and I complain about bad beats plenty but this one reeked of a fix with the way the Bama coaches coached that game in the final 2 minutes....I dont care what anyone says as that was a major game on CBS in the SEC.....it wasnt on national because the ND CUSE was but that game mustve been all over the south and it was questionable, very.

Now when it comes to the NBA I trust that product much more than I do the college game for obvious reasons....its a professional game and I have never heard of players shaving points and in college we have heard about it plenty of times.

My beef today in the Bama was purely coaching though and I do think the ending was scripted by the coach to jack up the point total

But what your saying MCP is one thing and what Chado is saying is another. If what you are saying is correct, and it could be, it would be a fairly simply process for a coach to instruct his team to foul in one instance and not in another to influence the final score. But what Chado is saying is that professional players, who get paid millions of dollars, on tv every game, basically living their lives in the spotlight are making a concerted effort to play miserably to influence the final score in a game. I think thats ridiculous. Again, I liken it to a football team taking knee at the 5 yardline to end a game. We see that every week and nobody thinks a thing about it. So why is it a problem when teams use the whole shot clock and play their non starters to end a game in the NBA. If the starters are putting up 50 points a quarter between the two teams then its pretty conceivalble that the reserves would put up less. Especially when they are playing against the other teams starters. But I saw the end of the Auburn game also and do agree that the coaches decisions kind of make you wonder what his motives were.
