Cy young voting.WHEW! Who cares. Take the past 3 years as a whole, and nobody is even close. Your just upset because he's not going to Boston. Are the Yankees not going to make money off of Johan? I think so, every person in the NYC will have a jersey. I wish he would go to my Mets.

Who cares what he did 2 or 3 years ago? That means NOTHING in '08 pitching in a fishbowl called N.Y. or Boston.

Johan has been the best pitcher in baseball for 3+ years. Anyone should do what it takes to sign him. By the way, I hate Curt Schilling more than an person in all of sports. Just wanted to throw that out there.

by the way, if he had anyone on his team that could hit he would have been in the race. After back-to-back Cy Youngs. Also, this dude is way cool. His team mates say he is super laid back, and doesn't let anything get to him. I think he'll be ok. If you want to make a future bet: O/U wins, cy young props, era, k's-I'm in. The kid is Pedro, but left handed, and a nasty circle change.

              Peace

Santana also gave up a whopping 33 HR's this year and that was twice as many as Josh Beckett, a guy who pitches in Fenway Park!

I wish him no harm but the Twins have worked Santana HARD over the last few years. It wouldn't shock me at all if he had dead arm syndrome soon. I also said, for the 14th time now, i would love to have him ... as long as we don't give up Ellsbury to get him.

Wouldn't expect Santana to come in and take over NY, especially from a person who's been with the team for 12 years. But i would expect him to come in and post his 25-4 with a 3.00 era and win another CY award, and yes if they spend some time on pitching, NY will start winning WS.

Also if you going to spend 21million on Jeter, i sure wouldn't think 25 million is much for Santana

I have zero problem with how much he makes. If he was a free agent, i would be all about Boston signing him for that amount. The problem is he isn't a Free Agent and i don't want to give up all the promising young guys to get him.
