This thread will be alive all year to prove the doubters wrong. I have seen them play in person once and on television two other times so far this year.
They are as unselfish as it gets. If one guy is not hitting shots there are at least 2 others who are. Even when they play sloppily, they rebound from it rather quickly. They can D up when they want and they can score when they want.
The only real test will be if two of the big three are in foul trouble against one of the better teams. They are the class of the East right now and San Antonio and Phoenix are the only teams I see them having trouble with.
If Glen Davis does not foul out of every game in 10 minutes, he gives them quality minutes. He rebounds very well and defends well for his position. Putting him against Duncan or Amare even for a few minutes will be very tough. Rondo against Parker or Nash is another story in its own. Those guys can hold their own against the East, but when you have to defend those guys amongst others like Dirk and Jason Terry, there will be some problems.
Celtics win the East and go to the NBA Finals where they win in 6 or lose in 7.NFL System - Year 1

I understand how you could say that but right now I think they would be top 5 in the West.
San Antonio is the best team in the league. The Celtics game most closely mirrors that. San Antonio has three stars and their role players do their job same as Boston. The three stars on each team are unselfish and are gelling so well.
Dallas has trouble on the road so far this year and Houston does not win the games they should. They are too up and down and with TMac being hurt even a little that kills them.
Phoenix is solid and I think would run on Boston and wear them out. Utah is a solid team as well and I would put them as even with Boston right now.
1 San Antonio
2 Phoenix
3 Utah
4 Boston
5 Dallas
6 Houston
7 New Orleans
Just my completely unbiased top 7. Sad to say 6 are from the West with Denver not far behind these but they are too inconsistant for me.NFL System - Year 1

And now, the league is catching up , as I figured, right after the All-Star break.
It is a marathon, 82 regular season games, and 20 playoff games, and keeping with the theme of Oscar '08.......

I think this team is getting better as the season moves along gramps. The kids are playing better and better, KG is as rested as he can be right now and Ray Allen is playing his best ball of the season. Losing 2 or 3 straight on a tough West coast trip isn't shocking by any means. They still have the best record in the NBA by a nice margin and they are 16-2 vs the West coming into tonight. Not too shabby!
