just because teams play up tempo doesn't mean they don't play defense.

i am agreeing with the fact that the celtics will finally feel the rigors of the nba now that they are playing tough west conf. teams on the road.

i said before the trip started- Feb 19- Quote: love denver tonight. i think the celts will be lucky to play .500 ball this road trip. hopefully i'm wrong.

still don't agree w/ bumping this thread because they are losing in the 1Q.

True but you know what teams I am taking about....GS and Phoenix will never win an NBA Championship until they learn how to play ALL aspects of the game of basketball....win games maybe but Championships not a chance until....

I bumped the thread when it was forgotten and they were off to a great start. I bumped again another time, and then tonight. If I don't bump threads I start, they fade away. And whether I end up right or wrong, i don't hide from my posts.

I was only reviving it so I don't have to dig so far to find it in the future ( again)

celtics also have no chance of winning w/ their 'prevent offense' and no pg. they are incapable of scoring in a halfcourt game. essentially, they can't score in the type of games they try to play because of their defense.

Mark my words (AGAIN) that Boston will not win any title, except maybe a division title.
Well i didn't pick them to win the title either but i still find it funny that the one team you chose to start a thread like this about before the season started is the team with the best record in the league this late by a wide margin.

They don't have to rely on three 35 year old players either gramps. Your facts are way off there. KG is only 31, Pierce is only 30 and Allen is 32. None are 35 or even close to it yet. Nash is 34, Kobe is 29, Duncan is 31, Kidd is 34, Dirk is 29, Billups 31, Rip Hamilton 30, Rasheed 33, AI 32.

I don't get why Boston is "Old" when none of these others are. It makes no sense to be honest.

Molta, we talked about it 6 weeks ago,,,can't win with Rondo. Can't believe they didn't get Miller or Cassell. Rondo is going to be good but they need to win now.

And GrandPa...who is 35 on thier roster, other than the coaches??? ?

                    agree.

i understand that people here are excited, and they should be (i am), but i don't think this team can win a championship. their offense will melt in the 4Q of playoff basketball.

Wayne, KG has more mileage than any 31 yr old in the history of the game...I agree, they aren't old, but I believe they are a 'win now' team, with now being this year or next.

You may be right but Boston has to beat one team to get to the finals and that is Detroit. The West is a mess and nobody is guaranteed anything over there. Just getting to the finals will be a task!

                          Kobe doesn't???

I agree it is a 2-3 year window to win but everyone knew that from the start. It is still much more fun than it has been in a LOOOOONG time around here!

true. making sure they can keep homecourt in east conf will be very important.

i really think LA has the best shot to make it out of the west(phx would be second). spurs seem very old and slow (but i think they can turn it on when they want); dallas and houston are soft; denver and gs don't play ANY defense; utah doesn't have a go to scoring threat. new orleans too young.
