Is that a bad thing? Isn't that what they get paid millions to do (Show up each night)? Isn't that what a fan expects when they drop $200 or $300 to take the family to 1 game a year?

We give this guys shit constantly in the NBA for not caring or simply going through the motions. It is damn good to see a team that plays like they have for a change in Boston!

I agree Wayne Ive always liked Allen, Peirce and KG cause they seam to always give 100% every night now a days you see some players not get up for a few games here and there and it drives me crazy cause you know how good they really are they need to give that every night.

When the playoffs start, there may be other teams who want the Title just as much, but i doubt you will find any that want it more than KG, Allen and Pierce.

Did not realize it was the championship game. Hasn't been a title won in March in the NBA yet, and I am going to go ahead and say noone has handed out any rings or trophies yet.

Impressive perf by the Celts last nite. Glad they won, cuz I could already hear the excuses ( B2B, no Ray Allen, blah blah blah).

Rockets had a bad game, for sure, especially McGrady, and it had to happen sooner or later.

The Patriots (16-0) regular season streak was very impressive too and NOBODY had ever gone (16-0) before them. They didn't win the Title so the (16-0) really meant squat/nothing. The Rockets streak wasn't even the best or only of it's kind and unless they win the Title, it won't mean squat/nothing too.

... and just for the record, the Celtics are now (22-4) against the "Mighty Western Conference", that many said they couldn't compete with. They have a better record against the West than they do the East (32-9).

(22-4) against the West Gramps. If you want to point out the 4 losses, i can bomb you with the 22 wins, including the 20 point BEATDOWN at the all mighty Rockets last night. You only have 3 more losses against the "Great" Western Conference to talk about besides Utah. Can we spend some time talking about the 22 Wins against that lame conference?

Look in all fairness if you want to be a true critic you must be able to call a spade a spade.

The Celtics are the best team in the NBA right now. It is not only because of Pierce, KG, and Allen, but also the development of the youner players and role players. Who would have thought Eddie House and James Posey would have such a big impact. Who could predict what Rajon Rondo, Leon Powe, and over the last few games Glen Big Baby Davis would do. I for one was scared Rondo would be our point guard, but the little guy has stepped it up when we need him to and excelled beyond anyone's expectations.

To say their bench was so weak in the beginning was very true. To say that now you are sorely mistaken. The Celtics can outscore you or outdefend you. It almost seems like they choose to do one or the other on different occassions. When it comes down to it defense wins championships and they are THE BEST DEFENSIVE TEAM IN THE NBA.

You wont crown them now, but in no time at all you will sit there and watch them take that championship trophy and hold it high.

Best Record in the League by not 1, or 2, but 5 games. Number ONE Defense in the NBA. Doesn't defense win Championships? Number 1 point differential in the league. They are not just beating people, they are winning with ease in most games ... but gramps can't call it what it is. Why? Because the C's are all old men and there will not be team chemistry.

Again, I must defer to the title of this thread.

Should they even play the remainder of the schedule? Or the playoffs? Just give the title to the Celtics. They started out really fast, so they are the champs. Never mind that the only guy with any rings on the squad is Sam Cassell ( where did he get those rings, hmmm).

If they are 22-4 against the West ( and they are) , I say we should cancel the rest of the season, and just have Detroit and Boston duke it out for the title. Doesn't seem fair to have to make Boston have to win the games ahead of them, because they have already won the title this year. The most important thing is what has happened so far in the regular season.

If I was Boston, I would be a little concerned about the 19 point home B-E-A-T-D-O-W-N by the 3rd or 4th best team in the West, and the fact that Detroit will win the East in the playoffs ( where wins DO matter).

BTW, If Boston was 16-0 v West, and is now 22-4, does that seem like the legs might be giving way a little early?
