But Frank- You missed the 2 dimensional part here. they outrushed Denver 105 to 88. Thats a big part of this story as well!
both completed 21 passes but there was a 5 yd difference on avg in GB's behalf.
Denver didn't expect Favre to go against Champ Bailey either.
guess what: if they don't call that holding, denver out rushes green bay!!!!
don't listen to this BS chado. denver backers got fuking screwed beyond belief by that holding call. one of the worst calls i have ever seen. biggest problem with the nfl is the officiating, and nobody ever calls the league out on it, because roger godell is too worried about someones chinstrap being buckled the right way or their socks matching.
if any of us go to work today and fuck up as bad as the refs did last night, guess what: we're fired.
these refs can fuck up call after call with NO ACCOUNTABILITY!
Last season, on NFL Total Access, on the NFL Network each week Mike Pereira came on the show and reviewed a few of the weeks questionable calls. It amazed me how each and every week he justified the bad calls and spun the truth saying the right call was made. Rich Eisner often challenged Pereira but Pereira would never back down.
Here's a web site devoted to bad NFL officiating. It's a informative site.

believe me, I know all about Pereira. To me what makes this all worse is his arrogance and the fact he never admits he or the officials are wrong.
I'll say it again, the incompetant officials are the leagues biggest problem, and it will never be addressed appropriately. And its going to cost a team real big one of these days (and one can say it did with seattle in the superbowl and almost cost pitt in their game at indy the same season).
the thing thats BS is how unstructured the NFL really is and how teams really do suck balls.
Green Bay the ONLY time I bet them this year was against Chicago AT Green Bay, Green Bay only favored -2.5. Explain how this bet didnt hit? Someone PLEASE explain how this bet doesnt hit... BUT... Green Bay has won EVERY other game they have played this season home/away.
Mind you... Chicago loses BIG the week before the the Detroit Lions, the FUCKING DETROIT LIONS and then the next week they beat Green Bay on the road by 7.
Now DENVER.... Denver just last week should have tits in their face for beating Pittsburgh and should have learned a thing before. This week, Pittsburgh smoked Cincinatti and was back on track, Denver loses AT HOME to Green Bay that lost AT HOME to Chicago. Football just makes absolutely no sense, it really doesnt. The true way to bet football is to put both teams in a hat, and pick from the hat and thats your pick with the points. So rediculous and thats the reason I hate football. Plus its 16 stupid weeks.

The Seattle/Pitt SB was a joke. That non-INT in the Indy/Pitt game was another joke. It was poetic justice that Pitt won that game.
It has a cost a team real big. It cost Houston in a playoff game about 20 years ago.
Sometimes it's worse at the games than what we see on TV. In last seasons Manning Bowl the late offensive interference call on the Giants was a horrible call. What most TV viewers weren't aware the call was made by a ref 30 yards away from the play while the ref 10 yards away made no call. WHY? What can a ref 30 yards away possible see that a ref from 10 yards didn't????
My biggest complaint about NFL refs has always been the use of 60+ year old men to officiate games played by superior athletes. The athletes are too big and too quick for the refs to 'compete' with on the field. The refs are too often out of position. They need full time refs comprised mostly of athletes in their 30s.

What you fail and many NFL bettors fail to realize is NFL football is played by the best 1400 football players in the world. The level of talent from player 1 to 1400 is slim. The level of talent from team 1 to team 32 is small. "ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY".
Also, some teams matchup better with some teams. It's been that way in most sports. In the 80s the Giants had the Redskins number. No matter what the record was for each team. The Giants always seemed to beat them.
Another analogy. In his prime Muhammad Ali easily beat most fighter. However, Ken Norton always gave Ali a tough fight. Why? IMO because Norton's style matchup well vs. Ali.
If you cap based on who beat who last week and now they're facing a 'perceived' worse team you will lose. In the NFL perception is not reality. Teams often aren't as good as one perceives. Redskins are a good example. Last week, many thought the Skins would 'slow' Patriots down. I've felt all season the Redskins are overrated. That being said. Using your logic is Miami a better team than Washington because they played NE 'tougher'? Of course not.
Detroit has a better record than Washington. Washington beat Detroit 34-3. Who's the better team? When capping the NFL you need to throw all that out the window. You need to think outside the box. Why do you think fading the public does well? Teams are never as good nor as bad as they appear.
Green Bay the ONLY time I bet them this year was against Chicago AT Green Bay, Green Bay only favored -2.5. Explain how this bet didnt hit? Someone PLEASE explain how this bet doesnt hit.
There's a very simple reason. 5 GB turnovers vs. 1 Bears TO. 3 fumbles and 2 INTs.
Turnover in a game can't be predicted. We all know if you turn the ball over more than your opponent you're going to lose more games than you win.
When you asked this question were you aware GB had 5 TOs? Do you examine box scores for reasons teams win or lose?
I lost on Denver as well but it WAS NOT the refs!!After all was said and done they still have a shot at the cover in the last 20 seconds. They are to blame for not cashing in from the 3 yd. line with the game on the line.Forget about the refs or the fumble because if they score in the end we cash the ticket!!

Major pet peeve of mine...when fans blame officials and/or injuries. Every team has injuries and every team benefits/suffers from bad calls...if you are going to blame a lose on a bad call or an injury, then you weren't good enough to win.
Denver got screwed on the call...too bad. If they hadn't fumbled at the one or punched it in at the end of the game, you wouldn't even mention it.
And every game in every sport has bad calls...find me one game that was called perfectly...and that includes the no calls that were penalties. it works both ways.
As I Have Stated Before I Am A High School Ref And Let Me Get This Point Out.in No Way I Mean No Way Can 1 Penalty Make A Team Lose The Game.there Are Over 100 Offensive Plays Throughout The Entire Game That They Could Break A Td On Or Even Throw A 89 Yd Td.because A Flag Is Thrown On That Play That Resulted In A Td Did Not Cost Anyone The Game, its The Other 99 Plays Where They Did Not Move The Ball.
