    I agree 100%

No game has ever been decided by a missed holding penalty and Denver had PLENTY of chances in that game and came up short. Denver is not a good team and they helped prove that last night (IMO). Cutler sucks. If anything is blamed for Denver losing, the focus should be on him, not the refs!

This game could have been Over in the 1st half but alas.

If GB would of lost, GB backers would have been talking about the I believe 2 times inside the 5 yard line in the first half which netted a 19 yard FG and a 26 yard FG. First half score should have been 21 - 14 GB minimum.

So all that being said, what I really noticed is not so much Cutler sucks (which he does), but Shannahans offensive scheme and play calling was horrible. Some of his formations and the calls he made just made me question his "offensive genius"

GB won mostly due to 2 big plays. GB made the big plays. Denver didn't. Denver fumbled on the 1 and questionable play calling at the end cost them the game.

GB had 325 yards passing of which 1/2 was from those two big plays. This game like most games could have gone either way. It was a horrible holding call. At the same time there was still lots of time remaining. Assuming Denver scored a TD after that blown holding call. GB offense has a different sense of urgency. Thye're now trying to score instead of trying to milk the clock.

There's lots of WHAT IFs in every game.

Bill Parcels said it best. Every game is determined by a few big plays. The team that makes more of those big plays often wins.

But Frank- You missed the 2 dimensional part here. they outrushed Denver 105 to 88. Thats a big part of this story as well!
both completed 21 passes but there was a 5 yd difference on avg in GB's behalf.
Denver didn't expect Favre to go against Champ Bailey either.

I agree Denver had plenty of opportunites.

I disagree that no game has EVER been decided by a phantom holding penalty. However, last nights game wasn't decided by that holding penalty. It was one of many bad plays, calls and penalties.

don't listen to this BS chado. denver backers got fuking screwed beyond belief by that holding call. one of the worst calls i have ever seen. biggest problem with the nfl is the officiating, and nobody ever calls the league out on it, because roger godell is too worried about someones chinstrap being buckled the right way or their socks matching.

if any of us go to work today and fuck up as bad as the refs did last night, guess what: we're fired.

these refs can fuck up call after call with NO ACCOUNTABILITY!

this officiating crew also called 3 defensive holding penalites on rushing plays. gimme a break!

There was no clear cut winner in this game. Whomever lost could make a case for being upset. The one holding call didnt make a difference in the whole scheme of things because they could have fumbled on the next play, but it was a lousy call.

105 vs. 88 isn't a big discrepancy to greatly determine the outcome of the game. GB 27 rushes v. Denver 24. GB averaged 3.9 yards per rush vs. 3.7 for Denver.

The difference was GB two big pass plays and Denvers fumble on the goal line. Those plays determined the outcome of the game. Not GB outrushing Denver by 17 yards and not a holding penalty. The holding penalty hurt but it didn't determine the outcome of the game.

GB had no rushing attack in the 2nd half. 9 carries for 21 yards. Their lack of rushing attack in the 2nd half almost cost them the game. GB was shut out in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Their pass to rush ratio 14 to 9.
